Sales Management Comments We always enjoy the ranch spirit found in Southern Alberta and look forward to managing this joint bull sale for Outback Cattle Co. , M.I. Simmentals, D.Maronda Simmentals and 3E Red Angus. This sale certainly serves as a “one-stop” bull shopping option for most as included will be Black, Red and Fullblood Simmental and of course Red Angus. The video style sales are very “modern”, but well received by both seller and buyer as convenience comes to both on sale day. This sale will be viewed in Glen and Kelly Hall’s “shop”, who are our gracious hosts and who have wintered and developed the bulls at their very tidy and meticulously oper- ated ranch. This is also a very handy location, only 1 mile East of Hwy # 2. Jasmine Pearson & Paul Abrams It’s nice to know, as a buyer, that the Ranchland’s bull sale offering is a group of bulls that were bred, born and fed in Southern Alberta and should have all the right attributes to work well from the Eastern Slopes to Medicine Hat and beyond. Join us Saturday, March 8, Northeast of Stavely for what is set to be a solid set of working rancher bulls for sale. In the event you are unable to attend, don’t hesitate to call on us to use our free order buying service. Email [email protected] Pro Rodeo Canada May 11, 2015 For immediate release © Bouchard Back to Back It only stands to reason. A crane operator is now looking down from the top of Canadian tie-down roping standings. “To tell you the truth, I wasn’t really prepared for the start of the season,” admitted Al Bouchard after winning the Stavely Indoor Pro Rodeo this past weekend. “I was sitting in school for five weeks and now I’m trying to catch up on things at home. I’m not in the best of shape yet.” Bouchard was busy getting his Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator’s ticket at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton while other ropers were in the practice pen preparing for the season. But after putting together back-to-back wins on the Pro Rodeo Canada trail, it doesn’t seem the practice was necessary. “Well, I drew at the top of the pen,” suggested Bouchard when describing his 7.6-second winning run in Drayton Valley during the May 1-3 weekend. “When I backed in the box, I knew it was going to be like roping a high school rodeo calf. If you’re not 7 on him, you should hand in your card.” As for the Stavely win, an 8-second flat trip in last Thursday’s slack, it wasn’t quite that easy for the Scandia, AB cowboy.

The objective of the study is to compile existing groundwater information to paint a picture of what is currently known and to set the stage for what needs to be done in the near future. Recommendations are included in this report that will assist in understanding the resource and managing it for long term sustainable use. The OWC released Priorities for the Oldman Watershed: Promoting action to maintain and improve our watershed in January 2012 which outlines eight goals including one for groundwater. The OWC is developing an Integrated Watershed Management Plan for the Oldman River basin which will achieve the eight goals in the Priorities document. Goal five is “understand groundwater and how it interacts with surface water” which is followed by three objectives including one that states “research the availability and quality of groundwater and its interaction with surface water”. This study is a step towards meeting that objective.
