Notice to river users - river closures, works, and events Notice Issued 14th November 2019

As Waterway Manager under the Marine Safety Act 2010 Parks Victoria wishes to advise the following waterway closures and activities on the , Maribyrnong River and Victoria Harbour.

November Events 2019 Saturday 23rd November 2019 6:00am – 4:00pm Head Regatta *Closed Yarra River – MacRobertson Bridge to upstream edge of Federation Wharf Sunday 24th November 2019 8:30am – 2:30pm Maribyrnong River Blitz Open Maribyrnong River – Upstream of Footscray rowing club to Maribyrnong River Bridge Saturday 30th November 2019 9:30am – 3:30pm Head of the Yarra *Closed Yarra River - Upstream edge of Federation Wharf to Victoria St Bridge Saturday 30th November – Sunday 1st 6:00am – 5:30pm (each day) Wakeboard Australia - Australian Open #Open Maribyrnong River – Fisher Parade Bridge December 2019 and Princes Highway Works 2019 Monday 17th June – Friday 1st November Ongoing works Spencer Street Bridge Works Partial Closure Yarra River – Northern and Southern Spans closed Spencer Street Bridge Thursday 14rd November – 22nd Ongoing works Hydrographic Survey Open Yarra River – Between Powerhouse Landing November and

*All closed river events will be conditional upon publishing of an Activity Exclusion Zone Notice in the Government Gazette in accordance with section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010. For the purposes of planning and/or operations, river users may assume the river is closed unless otherwise notified, in writing, by Parks Victoria.

# Event operates under a Flag System. A flag marshal will be positioned at the starting and finishing points of the course to indicate when vessels can proceed through.

All vessels in the area of activities are advised to travel with caution and to follow any directions given by Parks Victoria Officers. River traffic along these sections of river during event times may encounter delays due to congestion and are urged to maintain a courteous manner toward other river users.
