The Brief In 2012, 3vent was approached by The Color Run Australia (TCR) to take on the Onsite Operations Management for all TCR events in Australia and NZ. Operational event expertise was required to launch the popular fun-run brand in Australia, in a cost-effective and practical manner. In addition, 3vent managed the onsite event operations of 12-15 events annually. To this date (2019), 3vent still plays an integral part in the delivery of TCR events throughout Australia.

The Result 3vent provided vital support to TCR Australia in establishing the operational framework for the series and to-date manages integral parts of the event. The Brief 3vent won the public tender for the operations and logistics of the Mayor’s Christmas Carols back in 2014. The popular annual event required a fresh management team to execute the event operationally, as well as improve crowd management practices and implement practical safety strategies due to continuous growth. We have been executing the event annually since 2014 and currently have a contract in place until 2020.

The Result To streamline the event delivery and improve crowd safety, 3vent reviewed the event practices and implemented: An overhaul of the bump-in schedule Extra security for asset protection & crowd safety Dedicated Wet Weather & Evacuation procedures Dedicated paths & emergency lanes on the lawn Increased traffic management to facilitate the safe exit of event patrons post-event case study. With the Deputy Prime Minister attending and a vastly tight deadline, 3vent had to hit the ground running to ensure all top-end event requirements were delivered.

The Result After an immediate site visit, our team went to work! Due to its high-profile nature, the event required a certain caliber to meet client expectations.
