Boys Basketball 2019 – 2020 & 2020-2021 Tiering Numbers
BOYS BASKETBALL 2019 – 2020 & 2020-2021 TIERING NUMBERS VERSION 1 – February 11, 2019 2 Year Move Up Form Deadlines: 1st Deadline: February 22, 2019 2nd Deadline: March 9th, 2019 Move up forms must be sent to James Johnston: [email protected] BOYS BASKETBALL TIERING INFORMATION Version 1 of the new two-year tiering cycle for Boys Basketball (2019-2020 & 2020-2021) is attached. Please note tiering numbers are determined from the September 30th, 2018 1701 report from the Ministry of Education. Tiering numbers are determined using the Grade 10, 11 & Secondary Ungraded boys population totals and moving them forward one year. On the attached spreadsheet you will see a list of all the 2018-19 “active” teams with the Boys Basketball Commission and what their tiering numbers will be during the new two-year tiering cycle. If you do not see your school listed on the spreadsheet and wish to have a boys basketball team next year please contact James Johnston ([email protected]) for assistance. The Boys Basketball Commission tries to have each of their four tiers as balanced as possible. On the attached spreadsheet lines have been drawn to show the proposed tier breaks for 2019-2020 & 2020-2021. If you wish to move up a tier please complete the attached Request to move up form by February 22, 2019. After all forms are submitted tiers will be rebalanced and sent out again. There will be one final opportunity to move up tiers after the first deadline. Forms need to be submitted March 9th, 2019 and the tiers will be rebalanced for the final time. -
