SITUATION OVERVIEW A. Mayon Update • ALERT LEVEL 4 is still in effect indicating a high probability of a hazardous explosive eruption exists. The 8-kilometers Extended Danger Zone (EDZ) in the southeast sector should be observed at all times. B. Status of Evacuation Operations • A total of 7,979 families or 38,539 persons coming from the 29 barangays of Sto. Domingo, Daraga, Camalig, Malilipot, and Guinobatan; and the cities of Legazpi, Ligao and Tabaco were evacuated to 24 evacuation centers. Details is shown in Tab A. II. HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE Detail of assets deployed for evacuation and relief operations is shown in Tab B. The estimated cost of assistance provided to Mayon evacuees as of 6:00AM today remained at P1,596,048.02 . Detail is shown in Tab C. AFP-PNP set up check points to enforce the “No Human Activity” in areas declared by PHIVOLCS. Mandatory evacuation of residents within the 8-km Extended Danger Zone (EDZ) is ongoing. The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Albay, thru Resolution No. 37-206, declared the barangays within the six-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) and those barangays in the LGUs of Guinobatan, Daraga, Legazpi City and Sto. Domingo within the eight-kilometer Extended Danger Zone (EDZ) under State of Calamity. LGU Sto. Domingo provided facilities to provide for the basic needs of the evacuees such as water, electricity and comfort rooms. OCD V coordinated with MDCC Sto Domingo regarding their request for 1 generator set to be deployed to Bical Evacuation Center. Likewise, coordinated with DPWH on the utilization of forklift to facilitate the transport of 1 unit 30 KVA generator set for MDCC Sto. Domingo and unloading of two (2) units 150 KVA and 30 KVA generator sets from Manila. Page 1 of 3 NDCC MEDIA UPDATE OCD V coordinated with Camalig Mayor Rommel Muñoz and DOH R5 re: deployment of NDCC-OCD equipment, one (1) unit water purifier and one (1) unit dolley water tank in Brgy Taladong, Camalig, Albay. Facilitated the release of tents from DSWD R5 to the municipalities of Daraga, Camalig and Malilipot. Coordinated with Motorola representative for the installation of repeater station at OCD 5. Group Commander 2 nd CRG assisted in the distribution of relief goods from GMA Kapuso Foundation in Brgy Binitayan, Daraga, Albay. DOH The PHO medical teams are situated at various evacuation centers to conduct daily disease surveillance with various cases treated such as respiratory infection, asthma, hypertension and trauma. The medical teams also conduct stress de-briefing, and rapid assessment survey; facilitate delivery of supplies; and provide safe drinking water to Taladong Evacuation Center in Camalig. DOH-CO released contingency fund amounting P500,000.00 to CHD-V and augmented medicines and medical supplies to affected LGUs worth P200,000.00 DSWD Quick Response Team (QRT) at the provincial and regional level is on standby 24 hours and continuously coordinating with LGUs for any request for resource augmentation Prepositioned the following standby resources at Head Office V in Legaspi City ready for augmentation assistance for affected LGUs.
