(Unofficial Translation) Order of the Centre for the Administration of the Situation due to the Outbreak of the Communicable Disease Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) No. 1/2564 Re : COVID-19 Zoning Areas Categorised as Maximum COVID-19 Control Zones based on Regulations Issued under Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2548 (2005) ------------------------------------ Pursuant to the Declaration of an Emergency Situation in all areas of the Kingdom of Thailand as from 26 March B.E. 2563 (2020) and the subsequent 8th extension of the duration of the enforcement of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation until 15 January B.E. 2564 (2021); In order to efficiently manage and prepare the prevention of a new wave of outbreak of the communicable disease Coronavirus 2019 in accordance with guidelines for the COVID-19 zoning based on Regulations issued under Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2548 (2005), by virtue of Clause 4 (2) of the Order of the Prime Minister No. 4/2563 on the Appointment of Supervisors, Chief Officials and Competent Officials Responsible for Remedying the Emergency Situation, issued on 25 March B.E. 2563 (2020), and its amendments, the Prime Minister, in the capacity of the Director of the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, with the advice of the Emergency Operation Center for Medical and Public Health Issues and the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration of the Ministry of Interior, hereby orders Chief Officials responsible for remedying the emergency situation and competent officials to carry out functions in accordance with the measures under the Regulations, for the COVID-19 zoning areas categorised as maximum control zones according to the list of Provinces attached to this Order. -

Biodiversity Data Journal 2: e1019. doi: 10.3897/BDJ.2.e1019 Abstract The flora of Tropical Asia is among the richest in the world, yet the actual diversity is estimated to be much higher than previously reported. Myanmar and Thailand are adjacent countries that together occupy more than the half the area of continental Tropical Asia. This geographic area is diverse ecologically, ranging from cool-temperate to tropical climates, and includes from coast, rainforests and high mountain elevations. An updated checklist of aquatic plants, which includes 78 species in 44 genera from 24 families, are presented based on floristic works. This number includes seven species, that have never been listed in the previous floras and checklists. The species (excluding non-indigenous taxa) were categorized by five geographic groups with the exception of to reflect the rich diversity of the countries' floras. Cyrtodac- tylus doisuthep sp. nov. is characterized by a maximal known SVL of 90.5 mm; 19 or 20 longitudinal rows of dorsal tu- bercles; a continuous series of 34 or 35 enlarged femoro-precloacal scales, including six or seven pitted scales on each femur (male and females) separated by a diastema from six pitted (females) or pore-bearing (male) precloacal scales; no precloacal groove or depression; transversely enlarged subcaudal scales; and six or seven irregular thin beige dorsal bands between limb insertions. -

These two principles prescribed in the Constitution are said to be Eternity Clause of the Constitution, reflecting history and root of the land westerners had known as “Siam,” which has continuously existed over 700 years. Thailand changed its governmental regime from absolute monarchy to constitutional monarchy in B.E. 2475 (1932), in which parliamentary systems vary in accordance with different constitutions. According to the current Constitution, bicameralism shall be applied, in which Members of the House of Representatives are directly elected by the people; and the Senate is installed from a selection among persons having knowledge, expertise, experience, profession in the various areas of society. The Experiences of The Department of Mental Health, Thailand In helping the survivors from The Tsunami Disaster ……………… Slide 1 Mr.Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: Today I would like to present all of you the experiences of our Department of Mental Health, Thailand in helping the survivors from the Tsunami Disaster. Slide 2 In the late morning of December 26th, 2004 there was a Tsunami attacked at the 6 provinces in the southern part of Thailand along the Andaman coast, that were: Phuket, Krabi, Trang, Ranong, Phang-nga and Satun. Slide 3 Five thousand, three hundred and nine people (5,309) were death, Eight thousand, four hundred and fifty seven people (8,457) were injured, Three thousand, eight hundred and ten people (3,810) were reported unidentified/missing. Slide 4 Three thousand six hundred and eighty nine houses (3,689) were totally and partially damaged. 27 resorts and hotels were completely destroyed. Slide 5 More than hundred thousands (100,000+) people lost their houses, their property and their family members. Some lost their spouse, some lost their parents and many children became the orphans. They were shock, panic, grief, lost of hope and need immediate mental health care. How did we help them? 2 Slide 6 Before I tell you about what we did during the Disaster period, I would like to inform you about the Health Care System in Thailand first. So you will understand more clearly. In Thailand, we have ninety-three (93) Provincial Hospitals (around two hundred to a thousand beds), seven hundred and sixteen (716) Community Hospitals (around ten to one hundred and twenty beds) at district level and more than four thousands (4,000+) Health Centers at sub district level. -

In 2006, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, Nakorn Nayok province had diagnosed three cases of brucellosis which have never been reported in this area. Objective: To conduct an epidemiologic study with the aim of evaluating the sero-prevalence and factors associated with seropositive antibodies to Brucella melitensis among residents who live in the same sub-district of the first index case. Material and Method: In 2007, a study was conducted in Chumpon sub-district, Ongkharak district, Nakhon Nayok province, Thailand where the outbreak took place in the previous year. The 86 subjects were selected from three villages in the present study area. Blood specimens were collected and tested for antibodies for Brucella melitensis using a serum agglutination test. A structural interview questionnaire was used to detect any possible risk factors. A binary logistic regression was utilized for analyzing the statistical data. Results: Of all participants in the present study, 45.35% (95% CI; 34.61-56.08%) had seropositive antibodies to Brucella melitensis. Multivariate analysis indicated that factors associated with seropositive titers were highly related to contact with labored or aborted goats, adjusted odds ratio = 27.16 (95% CI = 1.02-721.53) and the consumption of raw goat products, adjusted odds ratio = 6.27 (95% CI = 1.25-31.36). -

GNATHOSTOMA IN FISH IN NAKHON NAYOK PROVINCE GNATHOSTOMA INFECTION IN FISH CAUGHT FOR LOCAL CONSUMPTION IN NAKHON NAYOK PROVINCE, THAILAND I. PREVALENCE AND FISH SPECIES Wichit Rojekittikhun, Tossapon Chaiyasith, Supaporn Nuamtanong and Chalit Komalamisra Department of Helminthology, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Ratchawithi Road, Bangkok, Thailand Abstract. Between August 2000 and August 2001, 12,216 fish of 73 species were purchased from several local markets in Nakhon Nayok Province, Thailand, and examined for the presence of Gna- thostoma larvae. Almost all species were fresh-water fish that had grown naturally, rather than raised commercially. Eight species were found to be infected with gnathostome larvae. The overall preva- lence was 5.1% (626/12,216) and a total of 5,969 larvae was recovered. The highest rate of infection (30.1%) was found in Monopterus albus (swamp eel). The rates in the remaining infected fish were as follows: Anabas testudineus (climbing perch) 7.7%, Channa striata (striped snake-head fish) 7.4%, Clarius macrocephalus (Gunther’s walking catfish) 6.7%, Channa micropeltes (giant snake-head fish) 5.1%, Channa lucius (blotched snake-head fish) 4.0%, Clarius batrachus (Batrachian walking catfish) 1.4%, and Ompok krattensis (butter sheatfish) 0.6%. The mean number of larvae/fish was highest in swamp eels (10.0 larvae/eel), and the maximum number of 698 larvae was recovered from one eel. The body sizes of the recovered G. spinigerum advanced third-stage larvae were 2.70-5.10 mm in length (average, 3.97 ± 0.50 mm) and 0.29-0.60 mm in width (average, 0.40 ± 0.04 mm).
