The 2010 NEC Player of the Year notched her first goal of the game, an unassisted tally, Monmouth vs. Columbia in the 27th minute. In the second half of play the Pennsylvania native booted in her second goal of the match from 10-yards out. The Quinnipiac vs. Saint Francis (PA) goal, which came off of a long cross from teammate Barbara Maros de Carvalho in the right corner, proved to be the game winner in the conference matchup. McKibben, a junior, recorded three shots in the victory and currently leads the league with 17 points.

adidas/NEC Defensive Player of the Week Alicia Miller, Mount Saint Mary’s Sr., GK, Lititz, PA/Warwick

Miller nabs adidas/NEC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after recording a 0.50 goals against average last week. The senior made 10 saves in Friday’s 1-0 shutout of Long Island, including a key diving stop during the first half. With the win the Miller matched former MSM goalie Anna Lebo’s career shutout record of 10. Despite suffering a 1-0 setback against Wagner on Sunday, Miller posted four saves. For the week the Warwick, Pennsylvania native had a .938 save percentage.

adidas/NEC Rookie of the Week Alexa Tirelli, Fairleigh Dickinson Fr., F, Slate Hill, NY/Miniskin Valley Tirelli records her first adidas/NEC Rookie of the Week honor after posting her first collegiate points as the Knights went 1-1 this past weekend. During FDU’s 4-2 setback against Quinnipiac, the rookie notched her first career goal in the 74th minute of play off of a cross from the far right corner. The Knights rebounded with a 2-0 triumph over CCSU on Sunday as Tirelli assisted on Rashidah Sherman’s insurance goal in the 85th minute. The product made a through-ball pass to her teammate at midfield, enabling Sherman’s breakaway. Tirelli currently leads the freshman in points (3) and represents just one of two rookie Knights with goals.
