Each 12" is housed in its own paper sleeve. A color poster and lyric sheet were also included in the box. Tracks A to E are extended versions compared to standard album. Tracks F to H are slightly different to the standard album versions in that they are not segued together (for obvious reasons). "Innocence And Science" is also lacking the water, drums and panting sound effects found at the start and end of the standard version. The only tracks that were otherwise issued on a single were: - A: the 8 minute "Chant No. 1 (Re-Mix)", an extended version of the original, which was later included as a track B1 on the UK 12" of "Instinction". - E: the extended version of "She Loved Like Diamond", which is identical to the UK 12" A-side of the same name. The rest of the remixed cuts were unique mixes to be found only in this box, though in 2002 tracks B and D were included in the "Reformation" 3xCD box. However, all the extended mixes from this release were included on the 2010 remastered release. Rogue Traders, 14/05/14 Web script for Gold Parking Presenter: Matt Allwright SONG “Gold! Always believe in your soul. You’ve got the power to know. You’re indestructible.” MATT (TO CAMERA) But your car is not. MATT (VOICE OVER) Indestructible, that is. It can be mistreated. Parked in odd places. MATT (TO CAMERA) And to cut a long story short, that’s exactly what’s happening – and worse - to some cars left here by holiday makers with an airport parking company. (Camera pans away to reveal sound man.) SOUND MAN: So true. MATT (VOICE OVER) Gold Parking Limited of Crawley say they run the most secure meet and greet company at Gatwick. They promise a “chauffeur” will meet you at the airport and drive your car directly to their parking “compound”. The Director of the company is this man, Shaban Malik, whilst the Operations Manager is his brother, Riz. MATT (VOICE OVER) Impressed with their website, Brenda Jean Jones and her husband David used them to look after her Audi A7 whilst they were away on Honeymoon in Cuba… BRENDA JEAN JONES: It said that the car would only be driven only a few minutes from Gatwick Airport and parked securely in their compound. MATT (VOICE OVER) But when their car was returned, they discovered Gold’s performance was less than sparkling. BRENDA JEAN JONES: It was pretty dirty, there was a rip in the tyre… but David just wanted to get in the car and drive home… But after a while he said, look there’s 1500 miles on the clock.

  • George Michael Was Britain's Biggest Pop Star of the 1980S, First with The
George Michael was Britain’s biggest pop star of the 1980s, first with the duo Wham! and then as a solo artist. The Three Crowns played a small but significant part in his story. After Wham! made their initial chart breakthrough with the single Young Guns (Go for It) in 1982, George’s songwriting gift brought them giant hits including Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Freedom, and they became leading lights of the 80s boom in British pop music, alongside Duran Duran, Culture Club and Spandau Ballet, even exporting it behind the Iron Curtain. His first solo album Faith, released in 1987, sold 25 million copies, and George sold more than 100 million albums worldwide with Wham! and under his own name. George was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in Finchley, north London. His father, Kyriacos Panayiotou, was a Greek Cypriot restaurateur, and his mother an English dancer, Lesley Angold. In the late 1960s the family moved to Edgware, where George attended Kingsbury School, before they moved to the affluent Hertfordshire town of Radlett in the mid-1970s. Bushey Meads Comprehensive 1974 - 1981 George – a wimp Andy - cocksure In September 1975 a twelve year old George showed up at Bushey Meads School keen to impress as the new boy and was introduced to Andy Ridgeley who had already been impressing for a full year. Andy recalled their meeting as follows; “I remember at the time we were playing King of the Wall. As he was the new boy we goaded him into it. I was up there and he threw me off.

Ideal Health and How to Obtain It by Physical Culture, by 'M.D/ (Lon don, 1909) 1. 4. The problems with studying the body in the context of private life in this period have already been cogently laid out by Michelle Perrot (ed.), A History of Private Life: From the Fires of Revolution to the Great War (Cambridge, MA, 1990) 1-5. Even most sociologists, who are typically less tradition bound than historians, would admit that there is as yet no sociology of the body, only a diffuse and cautious effort to begin collecting bodily related data. As Anthony Synnott argues in The Body Social: Symbolism, Self and Society (New York, 1993), psy chologists and philosophers as well as historians have tended to ignore the body. Groundbreaking work by historians of gender and sexuality such as Judith Walkowitz, Peter Brown and Thomas Laqeuer are notable exceptions in this regard. 5. See David Landes, Prometheus Unbound: Technological Change and Indus trial Development in Western Europe from 1750 to the Present (Cambridge, 1969) 357. 6. Ibid. 7. Like the geographical nation, biological categories such as gender often implicitly finesse questions about their specificity and substance. These are taken for granted as the visible which denotes the under lying truth of differences.
