She was born in Surrey, England on 18 March, 1989 and is the daughter of the famous English singer Phil Collins. Lily grew up in an English- American household in Hollywood with strong roots through her mother, Jill Tavelman. She is part of a sprawl- ing family with many half brothers and sisters thanks to her father’s three differ- ent marriages over the course of time. It may be that growing up in the midst of so many siblings and so much complex- ity has given Collins the modesty and Phil Collins self-effacing charm for which she is Collins began her acting career at the now famous. age of two with a role in the BBC televi- sion series, Growing Pains.
