Other new and altered motions and amendments *S6M-00745 Meghan Gallacher: World of Wings—That the Parliament praises staff and volunteers of Scotland’s largest birds of prey centre, World of Wings, in Cumbernauld, for their dedication and important work in protecting vulnerable and endangered bird species through breeding and conservation programmes; notes that the centre educates visitors and schools on bird welfare and provides opportunities for falconry training, and to learn more about the bird species that are native to the UK, as well as bird species all over the world; welcomes one of the centre's newest arrivals, Ana, a four-year-old Andean condor, who will play an important role in the work undertaken by the centre, alongside the International Centre for Birds of Prey and Andean condor and Eurasian griffon vulture breeding projects, to help conserve her species, and wishes the centre well as it continues to raise awareness of bird species. Supported by: Graham Simpson*, Craig Hoy*, Alexander Stewart*, Edward Mountain*, Miles Briggs* *S6M-00744 Kaukab Stewart: Arlington Baths Club 150th Anniversary Celebrations —That the Parliament congratulates the Arlington Baths Club in the West End of Glasgow, as it celebrates the 150th anniversary of its opening on 1 August 1871; notes that plans to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the club's foundation in July 2020 were much reduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and looks forward to three days of free community events over 31 July to 1 August 2021 to mark the occasion; recognises the efforts of its staff, many volunteers and the commitment of club members, who have helped to keep the baths afloat throughout the difficulties of lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions; recognises the heritage and cultural importance of the baths, as the oldest club of its kind in the world, and wishes everyone associated with the club every success in the future. *S6M-00743 Rona Mackay: Celebrating the Life and Achievements of Charlie Gallagher— That the Parliament mourns the sad passing, but celebrates the life and achievements, of Charlie Gallagher; notes that Charlie, a resident in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency, was a former football player for Celtic FC and Dumbarton; further notes Charlie's sporting successes, appearing 171 times for Celtic and 95 times for Dumbarton, winning multiple trophies, including the European Cup, Scottish Cup, League Cup and Scottish League multiple times with Celtic; celebrates Charlie as an important member of Celtic’s Lisbon Lions squad, which was the first UK Monday 26 July 2021 7 Today's Business Future Business Motions & Questions Legislation Other Gnothaichean an-diugh Gnothaichean ri teachd Gluasadan agus Ceistean Reachdas Eile Motions | Gluasadan club to win the European Cup, after defeating Inter Milan on 25 May 1967; highlights that Charlie was the first Scottish-born player to represent the Republic of Ireland in international football, paving the way for later generations of Scots-born Irish footballers; warmly recalls the strength of esteem Charlie was held in by the local community and throughout the football world, and sends the deepest condolences to Charlie’s family at this sad and difficult time.
