HILLSIDE FARM, WERNETH LOW ROAD, ROMILEY, CHESHIRE SK6 4PY PLANNING SUPPORT DOCUMENT Aim It is our intention to demonstrate why planning permission to develop the specified building as a Training Hub (office, work & skills centre) for Veterans should be granted. The following document will highlight the justification for such a development on the proposed site. Proposed Development Retain and complete partially constructed building for use as a training centre/ training hub (office, work & skills centre) for the veteran community. The proposed use will be for the delivery of Project RECCE (Resettlement, Education, Community, Education) a training programme designed to prepare Veterans for their first role in the construction industry. The aim is to assist veterans in transition from service life to civilian life. Summary Nomad Construction Training, is a Community Interest Company (CIC) which has been established for over 2 years as a social enterprise; with profits and assets being used for the public good. Project RECCE (Re-settlement-Education- Community-Construction-Employment) was developed to provide a transitional pathway for veterans, regardless of previous experience, to acquire suitable skills for a career in the civilian construction industry. Laurence Moore, founder of Nomad and Co-founder of Project RECCE, is a Veteran who has found stability by working positively in the construction industry. Mr Moore has collaborated with Mrs Susan McCormack of MODE Rehabilitation and Mrs Ruth Houlihan of the Detail Group, to develop Project RECCE to become a positive force for the training of other veterans so they too can find stability and employment in the Construction Industry and resettle into our communities.

  • Compstall Road ROMILEY WELCOME
199 Compstall Road ROMILEY WELCOME Set back with its own driveway, this traditional-style brick house has a warm façade, making you want to step inside out of the chilly autumn air. Through the bright, light hallway and to the right is the lounge/dining room, which spans the depth of the house. Stylishly decorated, the colour choices divide the space into two distinct areas. The dining area is at the front of the house with a distinctive square bay window pouring light into the space. The neutral shades ensure that a stunning period fireplace stands out as a gorgeous focal point. You can imagine sitting down as a family for Sunday lunch, all cosy as the autumnal weather bashes against the windowpane. As you cast your eye to the other end of the room, the dramatic contrast is hypnotic, with the deep bold blue walls drawing you into its elegant scene. There are so many features to take in that you don’t know where to begin. There is the stained-glass window, under which the owners have placed a gold cocktail bar, and the large grand period fireplace, virtually overshadow- ing its neighbour. This room is a tale of two halves, the calm and understated dining room moulding into the glamourous lounge, which has certainly been designed to make a statement. As contrasting as they are, they work in complete harmony. ENTERTAINING DREAM Back into the hallway, and at the back of the house is the kitchen. It is certainly impressive; the luxurious and high-quality finish is evident from the moment you enter.

  • 'After Housing Costs' Child Poverty Rate from Highest to Lowest
Notes: This spreadsheet ranks wards in Greater Manchester by their 'after housing costs' child poverty rate from highest to lowest. This is done using data published by End Child Poverty in 2019. The data also ranks areas based on the proportion of the population in a ward classified as black and minority ethnic (BAME) in census data. The higher the proportion of people who are BAME in a ward the higher the rank. This data shows that areas with the highest BAME populations in Greater Manchester are often the areas with the highest rates of child poverty. School Bus Services in the Stockport Area September 2018 – July 2019 Journeys in this leaflet operate on schooldays only, unless otherwise stated. Although provided primarily for school students, members of the public may use these services with the exception of Yellow School Buses. Services are listed alphabetically under school names. 07/09/2018 Stockport Schools 2018/2019 Page 1 An introduction to School buses and concessionary fares for students in Greater Manchester Passengers can pay a fare to the driver for each journey shown on this timetable. However, students will need to show an IGO pass to travel at the concessionary (reduced) fare. If students do not have an IGO pass, they will have to pay a higher fare. Most of the journeys shown in this timetable are funded by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). The majority of TfGM funded services charge a standard fare and also offer daily return tickets. In some cases, the return ticket can also be used for travel on other journeys which serve similar areas – even if it is provided by a different operator. On most services, students can also buy a weekly scholar’s ticket, which costs £7.30. These are ONLY valid on schooldays on school buses and are available from the bus driver on all services where they are applicable. To help the driver, please try to have the correct fare when buying your ticket. A summary of fares and ticketing information on all school services included in this timetable can be found at https://www.tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/bus-school-bus-services There are also a small number of TfGM funded services where the operator sets the fares.

  • Romiley – Marple
More Trips Out from Eccles Station J.E.Rayner 2010 Eighty three ROMILEY – MARPLE This is an attractive, interesting countryside and canal walk. You can divert off the canal to visit Chadkirk – a charming little spot with St Chad’s Well, a farm, a chapel and a walled garden. This walk could be linked to the next one of the series. Take the train to Manchester Victoria and from there a tram to Manchester Piccadilly Station. From here catch a train to Romiley. Option: - turn right as you get off the tram and on Fairfield Street use the lift on the left to the link bridge lounge. Alight at Romiley. Descend the steps from the platform, go along the tunnel and descend the steps ahead. Outside the station turn right along Stockport Road. This is Romiley’s main street. Notice the Wesleyan chapel of 1811 (MDCCCXI) with the star of Bethlehem above the door – it is now the ‘Little Nine Heaven Kung Fu School’! Cross the bridge then turn right through the wall and descend the steps. Turn right and right again onto the canal bank. This is the Peak Forest Canal. Just before a pipe crosses the canal there is the remains an old pier to tip mine tubs onto barges. Pass a steep set of steps down and across from this notice the unusual church spire with flying buttresses. Continue along the canal. [OPTION: For a very easy walk carry on along the canal to Oakwood Mill and Hyde Bank Tunnel. This misses out the Chadkirk Estate and the steep climb back up.] Descend the next set of steps on the right.
