MHS-Bus-Timetable.Pdf An introduction to School buses and concessionary fares for students in Greater Manchester Passengers can pay a fare to the driver for each journey shown on this timetable. However, students will need to show an IGO pass to travel at the concessionary (reduced) fare. If students do not have an IGO pass, they will have to pay a higher fare. Most of the journeys shown in this timetable are funded by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). The majority of TfGM funded services charge a standard fare and also offer daily return tickets. In some cases, the return ticket can also be used for travel on other journeys which serve similar areas – even if it is provided by a different operator. On most services, students can also buy a weekly scholar’s ticket, which costs £7.60. These are ONLY valid on schooldays on school buses and are available from the bus driver on all services where they are applicable. To help the driver, please try to have the correct fare when buying your ticket. Carnet ticket (10 single trips) £10 – available to buy on the bus or at a TfGM Travel shop. A summary of fares and ticketing information on all school services included in this timetable can be found at https://www.tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/bus-school-bus-services There are also a small number of TfGM funded services where the operator sets the fares. You will need to check with the operator what fares are available. The IGO Pass All students between the ages of 11 and 16 need an IGO pass if they wish to travel at the concessionary (reduced fare) rate on buses. The IGO pass is like an ID card and proves that the student is aged 16 or under. It must be carried on all journeys and shown to the driver before paying the fare. The IGO pass costs £10 and can only be bought by students who live, or go to school in Greater Manchester. More information on IGO and an application form to get an IGO pass is on the TfGM website at http://igo.tfgm.com (Please note: students who are entitled to a free Scholars Travel Pass for journeys between home and school and students aged between 16 and 19 who have a Scholars Concessionary Pass, do not need an IGO Pass for these journeys) 20/04/2021 Stockport Schools 2019/2020 Page 1 MARPLE HALL SCHOOL (0835 – 1450/1400 Mondays) Effective 1 February 2021 The Following general bus services provide links to Marple Hall School: 358 Hayfield – New Mills – Marple – Stockport 375 Mellor – Offerton – Stepping Hill - Stockport 383 Stockport – Marple – Romiley Circular 384 Stockport – Bredbury – Romiley – Marple Circular For the latest timetable information go to www.tfgm.com/public-transport/bus School Bus Services: HAZEL GROVE – HIGH LANE – MARPLE HALL via Racecourse estate Service 809 STOCKPORT B/S – BOSDEN FARM – MARPLE HALL via Offerton estate Service 844 TfGM Contract: 0058 0469 TfGM Contract: 0058 0058 0467 0467 Minimum Capacity: 90 85 Minimum Capacity: 90 90 85 85 Operator Code: SM SM Operator Code: SM SM SM SM Service Number: 809 844 Service Number: 809 809 844 844 MO NM MO NM HALL ST/TURNCROFT LN ---- 0745 MARPLE HALL SCHOOL 1410 1500 1410 1455 Hazel Grove, Fiveways 0724 ---- Cheadle and Marple College 1420 # 1510 # ---- ---- Commercial Road/A6 0730 ---- Hawk Green, Crown Hotel 1422 1512 ---- ---- Chepstow Drive 0741 ---- High Lane, Horseshoe Hotel 1430 1520 ---- ---- HAZEL GROVE, Rising Sun 0745 ---- High Lane, Alderdale Drive 1435 1525 ---- ---- Nangreave Road/Dialstone Lane ---- 0751 Bosden Farm, Harvester ---- ---- 1418 1503 Offerton, Mallowdale Road ---- 0754 Offerton, Mallowdale Road ---- ---- 1426 1511 Bosden Farm, Harvester --- 0804 Dialstone Lane/Nangreave Road ---- ---- 1429 1514 High Lane, Alderdale Drive 0753 ---- HAZEL GROVE, Rising Sun 1443 1533 High Lane, Horseshoe Hotel 0755 ---- Chepstow Drive 1447 1537 ---- ---- Cheadle and Marple College 0802 ---- Commercial Road/A6 1457 1547 ---- ---- MARPLE HALL SCHOOL 0810 0810 HALL ST/TURNCROFT LN ---- ---- 1433 1518 Hazel Grove, Fiveways 1503 1553 ---- ---- # LIMITED STOP: First setting down point is Cheadle and Marple College NM Not Mondays MO Mondays only SERVICE 809: From HAZEL GROVE, Fiveways via Dean Lane, Chester Road, Grundey Street, London Road, Commercial Road, Bosden Fold Road, Hazelwood Road, Clarendon Road, Brinkburn Road, Offerton Road, Torkington Road, Highfield Road, Sandown Road, Chepstow Drive, Highfield Road, Torkington Road, London Road, Buxton Road, Brookside Lane, Hartington Road, Alderdale Drive, Buxton Road, Windlehurst Road, Upper Hibbert Lane, Hibbert Lane, Cheadle and Marple College turning circle, Hibbert Lane, Stockport Road, Hill Top Drive FOR MARPLE HALL SCHOOL. • The Link, Barbara)
Part of East Cheshire and Derbyshire Borders Missional Partnership (United Reformed Church ) TTHHEE LLIINNKK NOVEMBER 2020 “The East Cheshire and Derbyshire Borders is a Christian Church, living out the love of God by reaching into the heart of each community and responding to its needs” 1 Dear Friends, November starts with All Saints day which this year is on a Sunday followed by All Souls day on the Monday. This year, more than any other, I think we need to pause and remember all those for whom this year has brought grief and loss when the full celebration of the life of a loved one has been limited and constrained by our journey with ‘the virus’. Remember all the family and friends of the neighbour whose cortege you watched pass, all the individuals who stood at arm’s length from those they would have embraced, all the young people whose first experience of loss has been robbed of the communal and supportive togetherness of grief. Remember the fellowship of the church and our losses, and remember those whose grief remains raw because the opportunities to fellowship have been so few. As we move into winter and the hope of spring seems so far away let our prayer life become deeper and richer as we remember all saints, all souls, held by the Love of God AND all us ‘saints below’ who need the love of friend and stranger to help us through. Every Blessing Alison 2 Prayer and Sunday Service Phoneline: 0161 509 4264 The prayerline will be refreshed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a short service being offered over Saturday and Sunday.

  • Strines- New Mills
More Trips Out from Eccles Station J.E.Rayner 2010 Eighty two MARPLE –STRINES- NEW MILLS. This is an attractive stroll along the Goyt Valley. (For a very easy short walk go as far as Strines Station - trains back to Manchester every two hours so time your walk right). After Strines there is a relentless ascent to Brookbottom (the pub might be open!) followed by wide open views on the quiet lane to New Mills. Take the train to Manchester Victoria and from there a tram to Manchester Piccadilly Station. From here catch a train to Marple (NOT Rose Hill). Option: - turn right as you get off the tram and on Fairfield Street use the lift on the left to the link bridge lounge. STAGE I Alight at Marple Station. Go down the short approach road and turn left to Marple Bridge. Marple Bridge is an attractive stone village. The Midland is a free house selling cask marque real ales, tea, coffee, snacks and full meals. Cross the bridge over the River Goyt and turn right past the shops (The Royal Scot sells Robinson’s real ales). Fork right onto Lower Lea Road, and follow this. At the top of the gentle rise you see the hills ahead. Descend to a T with Lakes Road. Turn left along this. Follow it to the right in front of Bottoms Hall (Charmingly named, impressively sited - Georgian?). Next on the left are some lakes. Called Roman Lakes they are used for boating and fishing –take a look. Pass under the railway viaduct. On the right is a weir.
