Copyright © 2016 Majlis Ansarullah, USA 2 Dear Brothers, As-Salamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Any parent who has raised righteous children will tell you that despite all his efforts, there were times when he felt helpless. They would confess that in the end it was prayers and Allah’s grace which carried them through. But people do not open up to such depth if they do not feel mutual brotherhood. Perhaps that is why in our nationwide planning survey, over 40% of the responders indicated that “enjoying a culture of brotherhood” was their favorite part of attending a monthly Ansar meeting. Our frank conversations around the complex—yet common—parenting scenarios presented in the Ta’lim & Tarbiyat Handbook are strengthening our brotherhood in various ways. The attendance in our monthly meetings has increased by over 30% while the National Ijtima attendance has gone up by over 60%. So this year, our team has added many new features to enhance your experience. The Holy Qur’an audio files are embedded. Listen and improve your own recitation during the meeting. Topic specific video clips from Huzoor’s (may Allah be his helper) Friday sermons (with English subtitles) are included. Health infographics—with a focus on preventive medicine—are more succinct. You might ask, “How did we select the topics for our monthly meetings?” That is a fair question. More than half of the topics came directly from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V’s address to Majlis Ansarullah UK/USA during the concluding session of our 2015 National Ijtima. The remaining were derived from those Ansarullah Shura recommendations which were approved by Huzoor. I request your prayers for brothers Rizwan Alladin, Munir Malik, Monas Chaudry, Tahir Ahmad Soofi, Tanvir Ahmad, Mobarak Badoella, Shehzad Amjad, Naeem Ahmad, Maqbool Ahmad, Ismail Anani, Yasin Sharif, and Mubashar Ahmad who spent months to develop content for this workbook. Brothers Naveed Malik and Rafi Malik provided graphic designing and editorial review, respectively. This able team worked under the selfless leadership of Na’ib Sadr Saff Dom, Imran Hayee. May Allah reward them and their families with physical and spiritual abundance. Ameen. This tedious work reminds us of the prayer: “Our Lord, do not punish us, if we forget or fall into error.” (2:287) If, at places, we forgot to use a better expression or erred on a factoid, we seek forgiveness. You are encouraged to send me your feedback at [email protected] but do not allow Satan to divide us by arguing during the meeting. These handbooks, these meager efforts are submitted only to fulfill our duty of “…man will have nothing but what he strives for.” (53:40) Otherwise, we know that its only Allah who can put that brotherly love in our hearts. It is only Allah who can help us save ourselves and our families from the fire. Therefore, let us pray that may Allah make our families a model for the righteous. May He respond to our calls for help by saying: “Fear not; for I am with you...” (20:47). Ameen. He is the Mighty, the Wise. [62:4] This verse is from Sura Juma which is very next chapter after Sura Saff wherein the prophecy about a prophet named Ahmad is mentioned. Now in this chapter it is mentioned that first appearance of that prophet has taken place in Makka amongst the unlettered people and his second appearance shall be in latter days amongst another people who haven’t so far met him. At the revelation of this verse Hadhrat Abu Huraira (RA) asked the holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) that who shall be these people amongst whom this second appearance of the prophet shall take place, upon which he put his hand on the shoulder of Hadhrat Salman of Persia, one of his companions, and said that if faith ascends to the highest star, one man or some men from his people shall bring it back to the earth.

    www.ahmadiyya.org/cont-ahm.htm Founding of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha‘at Islam Lahore, March – May 1914 Main points from a Talk by Dr Zahid Aziz at Darus Salaam, Wembley, U.K. on 2nd March 2014 to commemorate the centenary of its establishment 1. Muslim spiritual orders founded by saints existed all over the Indian subcontinent, long before the Ahmadiyya Movement. Usually these were centred around the tomb of the saint. Three flaws had developed in previous movements and sects: a. The headship and control of the movements had passed into the hands of the descendants of the saints. These descendants were capitalising on the repute of the saint to receive homage from the public as well as donations which they used for personal ends. b. These heads of spiritual orders were revered and regarded as holy by their followers because of their descent. They took people into their discipleship and the disciples obeyed them unquestioningly, looking upon them as the gateway to God. c. Leaders of various sects denounced other sects as unbelievers. 2. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad set up a system of running the Ahmadiyya movement after him which avoided these pitfalls. 3. Two and a half years before his death he published his Will in December 1905 and laid down how the movement would be run after him. a. Instead of one spiritual leader who would have all members as his personal disciples, he wrote that after him any forty Ahmadis could choose a venerable person from among them as being fit and suitable to bring newcomers into the Movement by taking bai’at from them in the name of Hazrat Mirza sahib.

    18 September 2019 PRESS RELEASE 37TH MAJLIS ANSARULLAH IJTEMA UK CONCLUDES WITH ADDRESS BY HEAD OF AHMADIYYA MUSLIM COMMUNITY Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad says the example set by elders should “guide the youth upon the right path.” On 15 September 2019, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered the concluding address at the 37th National Ijtema (Annual Gathering) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association UK (Majlis Ansarullah). The 3-day event of Majlis Ansarullah, which comprises of male members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community above the age of 40, was attended by more than 4,600 people from across the UK and was held at the Country Market in Kingsley. During his address His Holiness spoke in detail about the standards of spirituality that the members of Majlis Ansarullah should strive to attain as outlined by the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him). His Holiness highlighted the heavy responsibility that lay upon the members of Majlis Ansarullah to lead by example and said that the young will learn from their elders and follow in their footsteps and thus they should seek to set the best of examples. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “As the membership of Majlis Ansarullah increases and the organisation progresses, the members of the organisation must self-evaluate to see if they are living up to the expectations laid out by the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him).”

Nasrullah Khan at Sialkot. He initiated into Ahmadiyyat, alongwith his parents, at the most blessed hands of the Promised Messiahas in 1904. He was educated primarily at Municipal Board School, and then American Mission High School. Though indisposed, he secured first position in the school in matriculation examination when he was only fourteen years of age. He graduated (in first grade) from Govt. College Lahore in 1911 and was the first Indian student who topped London University in LLB final in 1914. He started his career as a lawyer at Sialkot in 1915. Though young for his age and experience, he was elected as a lecturer at Law College Lahore in 1919. He started his political career with selection as a member in Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1926. He successfully pleaded the cause of Muslims with the Indian Round Table Conference held in London in 1930, 1931 and 1932.

ABSTRACT The ranging course of terrorism banishing peace and security prospects of today’s Pakistan is seen as a domestic effluent of its own flawed policies, bad governance, and lack of social justice and rule of law in society and widening gulf of trust between the rulers and the ruled. The study focused on policies and performance of the Musharraf government since assuming the mantle of front ranking ally of the United States in its so called ‘war on terror’. The causes of reversal of pre nine-eleven position on Afghanistan and support of its Taliban’s rulers are examined in the light of the geo-strategic compulsions of that crucial time and the structural weakness of military rule that needed external props for legitimacy. The flaws of the response to the terrorist challenges are traced to its total dependence on the hard option to the total neglect of the human factor from which the thesis develops its argument for a holistic approach to security in which the people occupy a central position.
