The City Centre campus is only a 10 minute walk from the harbour area where the train, bus and ferry terminals are located. Parking at the City Centre or Garthdee campus car parks is limited, so we suggest that you park in the public car parks in the City Centre at Harriet Street (Bon Accord Centre), Loch Street (Bon Accord Centre) and Denburn. Alternatively, you can leave your car at the Park and Ride site at Bridge of Don or Kingswells and take the bus to the City Centre. However, if you have a disabled pass please inform us prior to your visit and we can make special arrangements. GETTING TO THE CITY CENTRE CAMPUS: by coach or car - if you are travelling from north of Aberdeen From A956 • If you are entering Aberdeen from the A956 continue along King Street until you come to the traffic lights by the Mercedes garage. • Turn right up Mounthooly Way until you come to Mounthooly roundabout. • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit. • Continue through the first set of pedestrian crossing traffic lights and past Aberdeen College on your right hand side. • Go straight ahead at the 2nd set of traffic lights. • At the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Upperkirkgate which becomes Schoolhill. • The City Centre campus is located on the right hand side, just after Boots and the Students’ Union, and next to the Art Gallery. Directly opposite is The Academy shopping centre. From A96 • If you are travelling on the A96 at the Haudagain roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Great Northern Road. • At the next roundabout continue along Great Northern Road by taking the 3rd exit. • Great Northern Road becomes Powis Terrace, then Powis Place and then Causewayend. • At the bottom of Causewayend take the 3rd exit at the Mounthooly roundabout. • Continue through the first set of pedestrian crossing traffic lights and past Aberdeen College on your right hand side. • Go straight ahead at the 2nd set of traffic lights. • At the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Upperkirkgate which becomes Schoolhill. • The City Centre campus is located on the right hand side, just after Boots and the Students’ Union, and next to the Art Gallery. Directly opposite is The Academy shopping centre. by coach or car - if you are travelling from south of Aberdeen • As you are entering Aberdeen from the A90 you will encounter two roundabouts. • At the 1st roundabout take the 2nd exit over the bridge. • At the 2nd roundabout take the 3rd exit, signposted for the City Centre, and the Schoolhill campus. • On Holburn Street, take the 3rd exit at the mini-roundabout, then the 1st exit at the next roundabout. • Continue along Holburn Street until it joins with Union Street, where you should branch right. • Continue down Union Street until you reach the Union Terrace junction, where you will see The Monkey House bar on the corner and a statue straight ahead. • Turn left onto Union Terrace and continue to the traffic lights, where you should turn right onto Rosemount Viaduct. • Continue forward until you reach the mini-roundabout. Go straight ahead at the roundabout then take the 1st left to access the City Centre campus. by train/bus • The train and bus station are located on Guild Street, by the harbour. • The quickest way to get to the City Centre campus is to head up Guild Street. • Cross the road and enter the Trinity Shopping Centre. • Walk through the centre and exit at Union Street. • Cross Union Street at the traffic lights by the cobbled Belmont Street. • Walk straight up Belmont Street and you will come to Schoolhill and Robert Gordon University. GETTING TO THE GARTHDEE CAMPUS: by coach or car - if you are travelling from north of Aberdeen From A956 • As you are entering Aberdeen from the A956 continue along King Street until it joins with Union Street. • Continue along Union Street until it ends and joins with Holburn Street. • Continue along Holburn Street until you come to a roundabout, where you should go straight ahead by taking the 3rd exit. • At the mini-roundabout take the 1st exit. • Continue along until you reach the next roundabout at the Bridge of Dee, where you should take the 2nd exit onto Garthdee Road. • Continue through the next two roundabouts passing B & Q and Sainsbury’s on the left hand side. • Continue along Garthdee Road until you come to the entrance to the Faculty of Health and Social Care, Aberdeen Business School, Scott Sutherland School or Gray’s School of Art. From A96 • If you are travelling on the A96 take the 3rd exit at the Haudagain roundabout signposted A90. • Continue straight along the A90 through 6 roundabouts until you reach the Bridge of Dee roundabout with Asda on your right hand side. • At the roundabout take the 3rd edit onto Garthdee Road. • Continue along Garthdee Road until you come to the entrance to the Faculty of Health and Social Care, Aberdeen Business School, Scott Sutherland School or Gray’s School of Art. by coach or car - if you are travelling from south of Aberdeen • As you are entering Aberdeen from the A90 you will encounter two roundabouts. • At the 1st roundabout take the 2nd exit over the bridge. • At the 2nd roundabout take the 1st exit, Garthdee Road. • Continue through the next two roundabouts passing B & Q and Sainsbury’s, continuing along Garthdee Road until you come to the entrance to the Faculty of Health and Social Care, Aberdeen Business School, Scott Sutherland School or Gray’s School of Art. by train/bus • The train and bus station are located on Guild Street, by the harbour. • The quickest way to get to the Garthdee campus is turn left out of the train and bus station and walk along Guild Street, then turn right and up Bridge Street which takes you to Union Street. • Take either the number 1 or 2 bus (red route) or the number 9 Unilink bus to Garthdee Road. • The number 1 and 2 buses both stop along Garthdee Road, whereas the number 9 will stop right outside the Faculty of Health and Social Care building on the Garthdee campus, before continuing along Garthdee Road..
