And that’s why our team at LXL Ideas felt it was our responsibility to bring world Icinema curated especially for Indian children to schools here. It’s been 3 months of marathon film viewing sessions every day, and every second of it has been worth it! The IKFFI Programming team watched over 400 films to finally present to you this collection of more than 100 children’s films. Through these films you’ll travel to regions you’ve never heard of, you’ll meet people and characters you’ve never met, you’ll talk about issues close to your heart... but most importantly you’ll think! We share the dilemma of Ali and Zahra who’ve lost a pair of shoes in the Iranian classic Children of Heaven. National Film Award winner The Waterfall makes one wonder about our relationship with our environment, while colour and imagination create magic in Spanish film Lila. Each of these films has been made with a lot of passion and conviction. We’ve also curated a special programme on safety, considering the times we live in. These four films on child abuse, violence, cyber safety and bullying will make you more aware, and help you deal with certain unwanted situations. So let’s get started!
