6 Saturday RAVENNA. Morning (09.00) guided walking tour of the city including the Basilica di San May 7 Vitale (entrance included), the Galla Placidia Mausoleum (entrance included), the Battistero Neoniano, the tomb of Dante, the Basilica di Sant’ Apollinare Nuovo and the Battistero degli Ariani. 7 Sunday RAVENNA (URBINO). Morning (08.15) departure by private motorcoach to Urbino. Meet May 8 local guide for half-day tour of the city, including the Ducal Palace (entrance included). After lunch on own, stop en route in to visit the Tempio Malatestiano, and then return to Ravenna. (B)

8 Monday RAVENNA/. Morning (09.00) departure by private motorcoach to Venice. Private May 9 motorlaunch (1 bag per person included) service from Piazzale Roma to the hotel. Afternoon (14.00) guided tour (with whisperers) of St. Mark’s Basilica (entrance included), Doge’s Palace (entrance included), and the Bridge of Sighs with gondola ride (50 minutes) past Rialto Bridge and Marco Polo’s palazzo. 9 Tuesday VENICE (). Morning (09.30) public vaporetto transfer to Tronchetto Pier to meet May 10 motorcoach for a full-day excursion to Verona. Meet local guide for a half-day tour of the city, including Juliet’s house and presumed house of Romeo plus a walking tour of the various piazze, and the Arena (entrance included). Return to Venice for public vaporetto transfer to hotel. (B)

10 Wednesday VENICE (PADUA/). Morning (07.45) vaporetto transfer from Tronchetto Pier to May 11 meet the motorcoach (08.30) for a full-day excursion to Padua. Meet local guide for a half- day tour of the city including the Scrovegni (Arena) Chapel (entrances at 10.00 and 10.15), Sant’Antonio Basilica and a walking tour of the University with entrance to the Anatomical Theater. Afternoon visit to Vicenza, including a guided tour of Piazza dei Signori, Teatro Olympico (entrance included). Visit the Villa Rotunda on own (entrance included). Return by motorcoach to Piazzale Roma for public vaporetto back to the hotel. Evening (21.00) performance of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” at the San Vidal Church. (B)

Morning (8:30) private motorlaunch transfer (1 bag per person) to May 12 Piazzale Roma for departure by motorcoach to Florence, with a stop en route for a group picture at Piazzale , overlooking the city. 12 Friday FLORENCE. Morning (10.00) guided tour (with whisperers) of the Accademia Gallery. May 13 Afternoon (12.00) visits (with whisperers) to the Museum, including an en route stop at the Foundling Hospital followed by a (14.00) tour of the Pitti Palace (entrance to the Palatine Gallery and the Gallery of Modern only included). 13 Saturday FLORENCE (). Morning (8:30) departure by motorcoach to Siena for guided walking May 14 tour of Siena, including Campo Square, Town Hall, the Duomo and Mangia Tower (with hike to top), and visit to the Museo Civico to see the frescoes. Lunch on own followed by some free time. Return (16.00) to Florence. (B)

14 Sunday FLORENCE (/PISA). Morning departure (08.00) by private motorcoach for May 15 full-day excursion to San Gimignano and Pisa. In San Gimignano, meet local guide for a walking tour, including various piazze. Continue to Pisa, meet local guide and tour the city, including the Leaning Tower (entrance included). (B)

15 Monday FLORENCE. Morning visit to the Cappella Brancacci. Afternoon (14.00) guided walking tour May 16 (with whisperers) of the city, including the Duomo and Baptistery doors (interior included), various piazze and the , ending with tour of Santa Croce (entrance included) and the Chapel. 16 Tuesday FLORENCE/CHICAGO. Morning transfer by private motorcoach to the Florence Airport for May 17 departure and connecting flight to Chicago. Arrive at Chicago O’Hare International Airport Terminal 5 for customs clearance. (Boxed Breakfast) Itinerary subject to change due to local scheduling Approximate cost: $5,995 per student Includes:  Breakfast daily (14), some group dinners (4), and gelato at least 4 times!  Airfare, Hotel accommodations, and all in-country travel for scheduled events  Entrance for all required course activities (museums, churches, concerts, etc.)  University fees Does not include:  Lunches (14) and most dinners (9)  Phone, internet service, or laundry service  Personal purchases (souvenirs, etc.) Depending on individual spending habits, it is suggested that students have access to an additional $30-50 per day for spending money (~$400-800).
