Over the last decade, traffic fatalities in our state have declined significantly. This is due in large part to innovative efforts to combat drunk and distracted driving, as well as stronger guidelines for new teen drivers. The driving public’s increased awareness and avoidance of hazardous driving behaviors are critical for Illinois to see a further decline in traffic fatalities. Beginning May 3, 2023, the federal government will require your driver’s license or ID card (DL/ID) to be REAL ID compliant for use as identification to board domestic flights. Not every person needs a REAL ID card, which is why we offer you a choice. You decide if you need a REAL ID or standard DL/ID. More information is available on the following pages. The application process for a REAL ID-compliant DL/ID requires enhanced security measures that meet mandated federal guidelines. As a result, you must provide documentation confirming your identity, Social Security number, residency and signature. Please note there is no immediate need to apply for a REAL ID- compliant DL/ID. Current Illinois DL/IDs will be accepted to board domestic flights until May 3, 2023. For more information about the REAL ID program, visit REALID.ilsos.gov or call 833-503-4074. Traffic Tickets and Other Violations
TRAFFIC TICKETS AND OTHER VIOLATIONS Receiving a traffic citation can be stressful and intimidating. This section discusses some common concerns regarding traffic citations and other traffic violations. IF YOU ARE STOPPED The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) suggests that drivers turn on their right turn signals immediately after an officer alerts them to pull over. Officers will alert a driver to pull over by turning on flashing lights on their patrol car. The driver should pull over as far to the right as possible, and should proceed in a safe manner. It is important for the driver to stay calm. The DMV recommends that when pulling over, drivers should discontinue cell phone use, turn off the radio, and place both hands on the steering wheel. Placing both hands on the steering wheel will allow the officer to see that the driver is not holding a weapon. Drivers should have their driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance easily accessible to present to an officer during a traffic stop. If the officer issues a citation, the driver does not admit guilt by signing the ticket. Instead, by signing the ticket, the driver promises to appear in court. In many instances, citations can be handled by mail. This label must be in the possession of the user at the time of pesticide application. When a pre-construction Bora-Care primary treatment is used for control of subterranean termites and is applied according to label directions for use, DRAGNET SFR insecticide must be applied as an exterior perimeter pre-construction treatment using a 0.5%, 1% or 2% dilution after final grade is established. DRAGNET SFR insecticide must be applied to provide a continuous treated zone around the entire exterior foundation wall of the building. It is required that a complete and continuous treated zone be achieved around the entire exterior perimeter, including under any attached slabs such as garages, porches, patios, driveways, and pavement adjoining the foundation. DRAGNET SFR insecticide may also be applied to critical areas that include plumbing and utility penetrations (including bath traps), shower drain penetrations, along settlement cracks and expansion joints, and dirt filled porches.
