WHISPER THE BULL made an appearance on Lake Avenue recently to check on the progress of the massive revitalization taking place along Lake Avenue. Apparently he was very pleased as he posed with the workers who took a short break for this photo shoot. Special thanks to all the workers who have gone out of their way to help the businesses during this trying time. We all can’t wait to see the results... Lake Avenue will be absolutely fabulous! – 2 – COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES are being LISTED and SOLD

WAVING GOODBYE TO MIDDLE SCHOOL...

They may not have had the traditional sendoff to high school, but the Smith- town Central School District’s eighth graders surely felt special during their drive-by moving up ceremonies. The district’s three middle schools – Ac- compsett, Great Hollow and Nesaquake – each hosted parades on June 16, 2020, to celebrate the achievements of their eighth grade classes. Admin- istrators, teachers and staff members lined the sidewalks of each respective building, holding signs of congratulations for the students as they celebrated their milestone moving up to high school. From Coronavirus to activist are “trapped” and need to “get out?” movements it just seems like I can’t keep my family safe. We are starting to get invitations to outdoor 2. Part of me says 3. Do you see yourself staying “isolated” as the only solution to living life?

If any of these answers are yes, then the reason behind your decision may be based upon the emo- tion of the moment. You can still make the choice, but know that there is a difference between “Going camping to escape and try to ensure my family will not get sick” and “Going camping to enjoy family time.” When basic things like health are being challenged, the feelings of losing control is very common. The responses can transfer the reality — like a diagnosis which is not your choice — to a response where you choose to do things that you can control… like self-isolation, eating too much, or over-stepping boundaries. Make your choices with the idea that you are doing them “just for now” and stay in the mode of checking in with yourself on how you are feeling. It is one of the best ways to navigate uncertain times and still con- tinue to move forward with life.
