NEED TO KNOW TODAY

● Cave, the P-Bruins leading scorer this season, was recalled November 20. Cave had a career-best seven game streak October 12-28 (5g, 5a, 10pts) and posted points in 12 of his 15 games played.

● Zboril and Clifton earned their first NHL recall last week and made their debuts for November 16. Providence bought up Olivier Galipeau from Atlanta and signed Desmond Bergin and Chris Carlisle to PTOs to take their spot on the roster.

● Vladar was recalled to Boston November 10 after Tuukka Rask was granted a leave of absence, but was assigned to the Providence November 12 when Rask returned.

● Forsbacka Karlsson was recalled November 9, his first promotion since making his NHL debut out of college in April 2017. Koppanen was recalled from Atlanta November 8 to take his roster spot.

● Donato was assigned to Providence November 1 after starting 2018 in Boston. He skated in 11 games this year and started his pro career with 23 NHL games after joining Boston in March last season.

● Lauzon earned his first NHL recall October 25 and made his debut for Boston that night. He returned to Providence after four NHL games, but was recalled again November 11.

● Szwarz was named October 19 after the club suited up three alternates for the first five games of the year. He was previously an AHL captain with Portland in 2014-15. If he has a 20- season, he’ll be the fifth player with three 20+ goal seasons in a P-Bruins uniform (Cameron Mann, Sergejs Zoltoks, Andy Hilbert and Craig Cunningham).

● Last season, McIntyre became the first P-Bruin ever to lead the AHL in shutouts (7). He is two shutouts away from tying and Hannu Toivonen’s Providence record of 11 shutouts wearing the “Spoked P”. McIntyre is also two wins from tying John Grahame’s franchise record with 67 victories in net.

Draft class of 2015 Much of Providence’s roster was acquired via the 2015 NHL Draft: Zboril (1), Senyshyn (1), Forsbacka Karlsson (2), Lauzon (2), Vladar (3), Gabrielle (5) & Hughes (6). Other notables include P-Bruins alumni DeBrusk (1) & Carlo (2) who are in Boston.

Hats off to you Hughes has the lone P-Bruins hat-trick this season, posting three goals in a span of 9:02 against Bridgeport. It was his first career hat-trick. Blidh recorded a “Gordie Howe Hat-Trick” October 13 against Hartford, posting a goal, assist and fight.

Milestone Watch McIntyre is two shutouts away from tying Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen’s team record of 11 shutouts wearing the “Spoked P”. McIntyre is also two wins from tying John Grahame’s franchise record with 67 victories in net. If Szwarz has a 20-goal season, he’ll be the fifth player with three 20+ goal seasons in a P-Bruins uniform ( Mann, Zoltoks, Hilbert and Cunningham).
