6-8-2-0, 14 Pts, 8Th Atlantic Division 6-8-2-0, 14 pts, 8th Atlantic Division NEED TO KNOW TODAY ● Cave, the P-Bruins leading scorer this season, was recalled November 20. Cave had a career-best seven game point streak October 12-28 (5g, 5a, 10pts) and posted points in 12 of his 15 games played. ● Zboril and Clifton earned their first NHL recall last week and made their debuts for Boston November 16. Providence bought up Olivier Galipeau from Atlanta and signed Desmond Bergin and Chris Carlisle to PTOs to take their spot on the roster. ● Vladar was recalled to Boston November 10 after Tuukka Rask was granted a leave of absence, but was assigned to the Providence November 12 when Rask returned. ● Forsbacka Karlsson was recalled November 9, his first promotion since making his NHL debut out of college in April 2017. Koppanen was recalled from Atlanta November 8 to take his roster spot. ● Donato was assigned to Providence November 1 after starting 2018 in Boston. He skated in 11 games this year and started his pro career with 23 NHL games after joining Boston in March last season. ● Lauzon earned his first NHL recall October 25 and made his debut for Boston that night. He returned to Providence after four NHL games, but was recalled again November 11. ● Szwarz was named captain October 19 after the club suited up three alternates for the first five games of the year. He was previously an AHL captain with Portland in 2014-15. If he has a 20-goal season, he’ll be the fifth player with three 20+ goal seasons in a P-Bruins uniform (Cameron Mann, Sergejs Zoltoks, Andy Hilbert and Craig Cunningham). ● Last season, McIntyre became the first P-Bruin ever to lead the AHL in shutouts (7). He is two shutouts away from tying Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen’s Providence record of 11 shutouts wearing the “Spoked P”. McIntyre is also two wins from tying John Grahame’s franchise record with 67 victories in net. Other notables include P-Bruins alumni DeBrusk (1) & Carlo (2) who are in Boston. Hats off to you Hughes has the lone P-Bruins hat-trick this season, posting three goals in a span of 9:02 against Bridgeport. It was his first career hat-trick. Blidh recorded a “Gordie Howe Hat-Trick” October 13 against Hartford, posting a goal, assist and fight. Milestone Watch McIntyre is two shutouts away from tying Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen’s team record of 11 shutouts wearing the “Spoked P”. McIntyre is also two wins from tying John Grahame’s franchise record with 67 victories in net. If Szwarz has a 20-goal season, he’ll be the fifth player with three 20+ goal seasons in a P-Bruins uniform ( Mann, Zoltoks, Hilbert and Cunningham). Shipping Up to Boston Six players have skated in games for both Providence and Boston this season: Urho Vaakanainen, Jeremy Lauzon, Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson, Jakub Zboril, Connor Clifton and Ryan Donato. • P-Bruins Stomp Wolf Pack to Lower Magic Number to Two
Providence Bruins Nathan Roberts [email protected], 401.680.4734 Eddie Pannone [email protected] P-BRUINS STOMP WOLF PACK TO LOWER MAGIC NUMBER TO TWO Providence, RI – The Providence Bruins defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack Friday night 6-3, lowering their magic number to clinch a playoff berth to two. The P-Bruins got two goals from Ryan Fitzgerald along with goals from Anton Blidh, Jordan Szwarz, Trent Frederic and Austin Czarnik while Zane McIntyre made his 42nd start of the season in net. Providence dominated the zone time in the opening period and it showed on the scoreboard. After being held scoreless despite an 8-1 shots edge through six minutes, Blidh gave the P-Bruins a 1-0 lead at 7:59. Taking a pass from Cameron Hughes, Blidh started a 2-on-1 break with Jack Studnicka up the right side. Rather than pass, Blidh surprised Hartford goalie Alexander Georgiev with a wrister from inside the right circle for his 11th goal of the season. Just 1:11 later, Szwarz doubled that lead with his 21st goal of the season. At the bottom of the left circle, he blasted a one-timer in off a pass from Fitzgerald to give Providence a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. That domination continued into period number two with Providence tacking on a trio of goals. Fitzgerald found the back of the net on the power play at 2:58, tapping a beautiful feed from Czarnik in from the crease to make things 3-0 Providence. He struck again at 8:37, taking advantage of a poor Hartford clearing attempt.

Gateway Economic Development Corporation of Greater Cleveland (Gateway) was formed in 1990 by the City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, for the purposes of financing, building, owning and operating the Gateway Sports Complex in downtown Cleveland. Gateway owns Quicken Loans Arena, as well as Progressive Field and surrounding common areas, including Gateway Plaza along Ontario Avenue. Gateway’s lease agreements with the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers, as revised and extended in 2004 and 2007, facilitate Gateway’s ability to continue as a good steward of these two tremendous buildings, as it has been for a generation. The leases with the Indians and the Cavaliers require the teams to pay for operating and maintenance costs of their respective facilities, many of the capital repair costs, as well as all of the cost of operating the Gateway Corporation. Gateway’s responsibilities – pursuant to a budget agreed upon annually with the teams and financed by team rental payments - include common area maintenance, insurance, security, and oversight of the maintenance and capital repairs of the ballpark and the arena, ensuring that Gateway’s facilities are maintained to guarantee their long-term viability.
