RESEARCH ACTIVITIES • My main research has been concerned with the petrography of sandstones, such as Jurassic deposits in eastern of Iran, from the study of their field occurrence, depositional environment, petrography, sequence stratigraphy, and ichnology. • I also studied the Early Cambrian deposits in Central Iran, and also Early Devonian deposits, in eastern of Alborz, working on depositional environments, sediment provenance and diagenesis. • A sabbatical year in Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada (2005-6) • A sabbatical year in Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada (2013-2014)
