Methods: India is a growing economy with a lot of potentials. Sports Industry in India is skyrocketing with a growth rate of 15% (DataPOWA). Hence, in this paper, an attempt has been made to study the performance of Sports Players using various Factor Analysis techniques. Conclusion:The main aim here is to demonstrate the specific objective of this study to assess the development of sports practices with respect to sports analytics in India and further to explore the potential of sports analytics in India. The paper is heavily dependent on secondary research data. The ceremonial match ball handover is a mark of welcoming the NBA to India for their first ever NBA game in the country. With the NBA in India for preseason games, Reliance Foundation is celebrating six years of its significant partnership with the League, through the grassroots initiative Reliance Foundation Junior NBA program. The initiative today has been recognized as the world’s largest Junior NBA program, with a reach of 11 million children from 34 cities in 20 states, inspiring the youth to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle by integrating basketball into physical education. As part of the celebrations, Reliance Foundation has invited a stadium full of children from its Junior NBA program to get the rare opportunity to watch the first ever NBA game live at the NSCI, Dome on 4th October. This free vaccination drive aims to protect underprivileged people in neighbourhoods including Dharavi, Worli, Wadala, Colaba, Pratiksha Nagar, Kamatipura, Mankhurd, Chembur, Govandi and Bhandup. Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital is deploying a state-of-the-art mobile vehicle unit to conduct the vaccination drive across the selected locations of Mumbai, while MCGM and BEST will provide infrastructure and logistics support for the drive. This initiative builds on Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital’s regular health outreach initiatives in Mumbai, which address primary and preventive healthcare needs of vulnerable populations through mobile medical vans and static medical units. Introduction Sport is now a truly global cultural institution, one that is no longer the preserve of occidental culture or dominated and organized by Western nations, the growing presence and power of non-occidental culture and individual nations now makes it a truly globalized product and commodity. The insatiable appetite for sport of the enormous Asian markets is redirecting the global flow of sport, with the wider Asia Pacific region now providing massive new audiences for televised sports as the economies of the region continue their growth. This chapter will consider the process of sport’s development in the Asian and the wider Asia Pacific context through the latter phases of the global sportization process (Maguire, 1999). As the locus of the centre of gravity of global geopolitical power is shifting to the Asia Pacific region away from the Euro-Atlantic region the hegemonic sports are now assuming a far more cosmopolitan character and are being reshaped by Asian influences. This has been witnessed in the major football leagues in Europe, particularly the English Premier League and is manifest in the Indian Premier League cricket competition, which has spectacularly changed the face of cricket world-wide through what could be called its ‘Bollywoodization’(Rajadhyaskha, 2003). Perhaps this reflects ‘advanced’ sportization (Maguire, 1999) with the process going beyond the fifth global sportization phase in sport’s second globalization with ‘Asianization’ becoming a major cultural element vying with the previously dominant cultural traditions of Westernization and Americanization? This notion will be discussed in this paper by looking at Asia’s impact on the development of sport, through the three related lenses of: sportization; the global sports formation and, the global media-sport comple. -

Especially, the brand value of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been around US$ 4 billion. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the 2015 IPL season contributed to around INR 1,150 crore (~US$170 million) to India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
