Michael Weaver “Sam” Michael Weaver plays Sam, a coworker at the law firm where Gabi (Elena’s mother) works in “Diary of a Future President.” When Sam and Gabi become romantically involved, Sam finds himself thrust into the role of father earlier than expected. Weaver previously recurred on Alan Ball’s HBO series “Here and Now” starring Bonnie Hunt and Tim Robbins, where he played a converted Muslim attempting to help Dr. Faird Shokrani (played by Peter Macdissi) with his crisis of faith. As an actor, he first rose to prominence on the big screen as Officer Smy in Broken Lizard’s comedy hit “Super Troopers.” He followed up with another Broken Lizard film, “Club Dread,” which lead to a role in Bill Paxton’s drama “The Greatest Game Ever Played,” in which Weaver (who happens to be an avid golfer) played the role of 1912 US Open Champion John McDermott. And more recently, he had a supporting role in the Blumhouse feature “Ouija 2.” Weaver made his TV debut as a series lead on “The Mullets,” the Paramount comedy by Simpsons writers Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein. More series regular roles came in the form of free-wheeling bachelor Danny on ABC’s “Notes from the Underbelly” and inveterate A-hole Randy on “The Joe Schmo Show: The Full Bounty.” He has recurred on a number of series including “The Real O’Neals” for ABC, “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce” for Bravo, “Franklin & Bash” for TBS and “Up All Night” for NBC. He has guest starred on a wide variety of series, most notably on “Forever” opposite Maya Rudolph, as well as “Speechless,” “SEAL Team,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Hot in Cleveland,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Parenthood,” “Last Man Standing,” “NCIS,” “Franklin & Bash,” “Happy Endings,” “The Rebels” and “Growing Up Fisher,” to name just a few. In addition to acting, Weaver has written/produced/directed/starred in his own YouTube series, “Heavy Petting,” as well as written/directed/starred in his own single camera pilot presentation titled “Middle Ages” with Rachael Harris, Julie Benz, Mary Birdsong & Bryan Callen. He recently wrote and produced his first feature film, “Civil Twilight,” a sci-fi thriller set in the Artic alongside Grant Myers and Darren Mann. Weaver resides in Los Angeles. ### .
