City Year Application Process: What to Expect A PPLICATION S TAGE: 1. Talk to your Recruitment Manager about the City Year AmeriCorps member position and get application feedback a. Submit your application before the deadline* I NTERVIEW S TAGE: 1. After your application is reviewed, you will receive an email. 2. If invited** to interview, schedule 30-45 minute interview ASAP as interview slots fill quickly a. Read your email carefully and follow instructions, as each site has its own way of conducting interviews b. If available, in-person or Skype is recommended as it is the best way to make an all-around great impression 2. Interview with a City Year staff member a. Have examples of leadership & teamwork as well as your understanding of & connection to City Year’s work b. Emphasize your experience working with youth c. Read the pre-interview information and prepare questions to ask your interviewer O FFER S TAGE: 1. You will receive a decision by phone/email as long as your references are completed 2.
