After her early start, Micarelli never slowed down, studying with renowned violin pedagogue Dorothy DeLay. At the age of eleven, she was accepted into the prestigious Julliard School of Music’s Pre-College Division. She would remain at Julliard until the age of seventeen, leaving to attend the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with celebrated international violinist Pinchas Zukerman. While attending the Manhattan School of Music, Lucia began to develop a growing interest in non- classical music, as she started moonlighting with local jazz and rock bands in New York Clubs. Within a year she had accepted an offer to tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra as a featured violinist and concertmaster. As a violinist, Micarelli has featured as a soloist in two of Josh Groban’s world tours, performed in Barbara Streisand’s 2013 international tour, and toured extensively with Chris Bottil. In 2009, Micarelli broadened her career, starring in HBO Emmy Award winning series “Treme” as “Annie.” Amid her busy career, Micarelli has released two solo albums, “Music From A Farther Room” and “Interlude”, and recently finished recording a third album.
