Il nostro approfon- dimento verte sulle condizioni di pensabilità nel contesto della multiculturalità e del neoindividualismo, sulla proiezione intrinseca verso la speranza, sull’aspetto pedagogico, sulla dimensione relazionale e comunitaria. Quest’ultima, letta in termini trinitari, è apparsa segno della profeticità della Chiesa e causa di rivolu- zioni morali e culturali, trasfiguranti coscienze, ethos ed istituzioni. Benedetto XVI, durante il suo viaggio in Baviera, nel settembre 2006, ha da- to un potente e coraggioso contributo all’elaborazione di un nuovo umanesimo, mostrando con lucidità le aporie della razionalità moderna, prodotte dalla sua autodelimitazione entro perimetri di sperimentabilità e verificabilità. Continuan- do il suo impegno di evangelizzazione e di umanizzazione della cultura contem- poranea, il pontefice ne ha mostrato limiti e pregi. A conclusione della sua Lec- tio magistralis all’Università di Ratisbona, ha affermato che il compito di ogni comunità accademica è quello di allargare il concetto moderno di ragione.
