Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 32 children in Taipei thanks to the Red Devils and Federal Tyres
Taipei, Taiwan; 07 July 2014: Federal Tyres – the Official Tyre Partner of Manchester United – is sponsoring 32 children to take part in Manchester United’s first ever three-day Soccer Schools programme in Taiwan, at the Taipei Municipal Stadium.
The 32 children, aged between aged between six and 14, are part of a group of 96 receiving a world- class coaching curriculum designed by the first-team coaches at the number one club in the world’s number one sport – the same coaching curriculum used to train star players like Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie. Along with the top-quality training, Federal Tyres also provided all participants with souvenirs including footballs, hats and tyre vouchers for their parents. Participants will compete in skill challenges, and the winner will get the chance to live the dream of walking out in front of 76,000 fans at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, England, with a trip to Manchester United’s iconic Theatre of Dreams.
As well as being Taiwan’s leading tyre manufacturer, Federal Tyres is also the Official Tyre Partner of Manchester United in Russia and Taiwan. Federal is looking to capitalise on its sponsorship of the world’s most famous football club to establish its products as the Ultra High-Performance tyres of choice for Russian consumers looking for high-speed enjoyment at an affordable price.

The Manchester United Soccer School (MUSS) is being run by three senior coaches who are bringing the Club’s experience of honing the world’s greatest talents to Taiwan. Mr Bennett, a MUSS coach, said:

The children were very excited when Feddi the mascot arrived at the camp – he got a reception like Ryan Giggs at Old Trafford. Apart from anything else, learning ‘the Manchester United way’ can help young players in so many ways – on and off the pitch – and it’s always exciting to bring those skills to a new part of the world.”
MUSS is holding two three-day camps for 96 students in Taipei for the first time in 2014 and hopes to continue coming to Taiwan in the years to come. Next year MUSS will extend the camp into three three-day camps throughout Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Since its formation in 1999, MUSS has travelled around the world delivering football programs to over 150,000 people including recreational players, youth teams, coaches, parents and partners.
