CASE STUDY – TEAM WELLINGTON WHO: TEAM WELLINGTON FC WHAT: Senior Football Club competing in New Zealand’s highest club league and associated competitions WHERE: Wellington, New Zealand COMPETE IN: New Zealand National League, OFC Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup 2018 FC Case Study - Team Wellington PROBLEM: Competing in a Southern Hemisphere Summer league, Tee Dubs was left with boring, picked-over, end-of-season Northern Hemisphere stock remnants that cost a bomb to print with sponsor logos and were a nightmare to replace as players left or arrived during the season. They were struggling to find the right designs in the right amounts at the right time - and the right price. SOLUTION: FC answered the call with the design, manufacture and delivery of a suite of fully-sublimated home, away, training and off-field uniforms. FC Case Study - Team Wellington The FC Team Wellington kits are totally original, one-of-a-kind designs that incorporate all seven sponsor logos with no extra printing costs. The stock order is tailored to their needs. No remnants. No items out of stock when they’re needed. PROCESS: An initial approach by the club in July 2017 was followed by introductory conversations and the production of an outline brief. The design team put together concept designs and after some discussion and tweaking, the designs were signed off, sampled and put into production. Manufactured at FC’s factory partner in China, the finished articles were delivered to the Club well within deadline for the beginning of the NZ National League season in September 2017. FC Case Study - Team Wellington RESULT: “We were after something totally unique but of the highest international standard. Something the club and the players could be really proud of and inspired by.
