We announced $11.7 million to create 1200 jobs for Although we’ve made progress with major investments like the Lower Lynn young Canadians through SFU’s Pivot 2020. Improvements Project, increased bus and SeaBus service, and upgrades to Phibbs Exchange, we are working harder than ever to develop new effective solutions to this major concern. We’ve been working closely with elected officials from all levels of government to make a strong case for rapid transit. In writing Gurpreet Goes to Gurdwara: Understanding the Sikh Place of Worship, Pandher was inspired to respond to the lack of stories that reflected his family’s everyday life in Burnaby, of which going to Gurdwara every week was (and still is) an important part. For children like my daughter, Nova, it also provides an opportunity for them to see themselves in the books they read everyday. This book shows us how much we have in common and how lucky we are to be able to freely embrace our many beliefs, traditions and identities within our great multicultural country. The book is available online on Amazon and Chapters Indigo. Harman can be contacted at [email protected] or at 778-835-7898.
