Chandler’s Crabhouse welcomes you to Washington Wine Country With over 800 wineries, Washington is home to some of the world’s best wine country. Most of our world-class wine is grown east of the Cascades, where the summers are hot and the winters are cold. The Columbia Valley AVA is our largest appellation, covering over one third of Eastern Washington and includes many smaller AVAs such as Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills. Walla Walla is the epicenter of Columbia Valley, a four hour drive from Seattle, with beautiful restaurants, hotels and tasting rooms, a perfect home base to explore wine country. Don’t have time for an overnighter? Woodinville is just a short drive to the northeast of Seattle and boasts over 90 tasting rooms showcasing wines grown all over the state, including beautiful Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, where you can take a break and enjoy a picnic in the garden. At Tranche, we cultivate a diverse collection of some of the world’s best grape varietals. We source our fruit from our 2000+ estate holdings within the best AVA’s in Washington State including: Red Mountain, Blackrock Vineyard – Yakima Valley, Celilo Vineyard – Columbia George and Blue Mountain Vineyard – Walla Walla. Tranche wines are some of the best, most highly sought after wines in Washington State. We practice only sustainable viticulture, hand-farming each block, in order to harvest very low yields of intensely-flavored fruit. All wines are hand harvested, hand sorted and produced to the highest levels in the state. “A taste of Tranche is a slice of life… the life of the place, the vines, the people who make the wines, and most of all, you who drink them. We have given our lives over to making every bottle worthy of your attention.” – Michael and Lauri Corliss 2014 Pinot Gris “Lewis Vineyard” Columbia Valley Andrew Trio (winemaker) - Captivating aromas of fresh kiwi, honeydew melon, white peach and almond blossom. Intense flavors of guava, lychee and Asian pear combined with crushed river rock minerality to provide excellent freshness and lift to the palate. 12 glass | 48 bottle 2011 Barbera, Columbia Valley 93pts Robert Parket - “Exhibiting a lively, perfumed bouquet of wild berry fruits, incense, flowers and underbrush, it is medium-bodied and shows the juicy acidity of the variety on the palate. Showing superb purity of fruit, beautiful richness and a great finish… Tranche Cellars consistently delivers serious, impeccably made wines that over-deliver.” 14 glass | 56 bottle 2012 Columbia Valley, Slice of Pape 92pts Stephen Tanzer – “Good deep ruby-red. Liqueur-like black cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, licorice pastille and piquant botanical herbs on the expressive nose and palate. Densely packed and thoroughly ripe, conveying a very refined texture and lovely high-toned lift that reminded me of a southern Rhône wine. Finishes classically dry and broad, with firm, perfectly integrated tannins and lovely perfumed length. 70 bottle Please join us at Daniel’s Broiler - Bellevue on October 1, 2016 for the First Annual Single Malt Saturday, featuring the largest collection of single malts on the West Coast.
