Prior to this Richard had worked for central government in policy and delivery roles. Richard lives in Berkhamsted where his children attend school and was formerly a Governor at Ashlyns School. In his spare time, he coaches junior rugby at Chesham RFC. Richard was awarded the OBE in 2009 for services to the administration of justice. ANDREW CUNNINGHAM Currently retired, Andy was formerly Headteacher of two Hertfordshire secondary schools (Westfield in Watford, and Roundwood Park in Harpenden); Head of Hertfordshire Secondary School Advisory Service; Director of Hertfordshire Building Schools for the Future programme; School Improvement Adviser for Luton; a qualified Ofsted inspector (though retired from active work); a qualified School Improvement Partner i.e. a SIP (Hertfordshire schools refer to this post as a HIP or Hertfordshire Improvement Partner); and spent two years working as a research medical physicist developing gamma camera technology. Andy has recently stepped aside as Chair of Governors from Ashlyns and supports his local village association as a helper. IAN HARRIS Ian is a chartered accountant with over 30 years of finance and accounting experience. He has worked in the profession, both in the UK and France, qualifying with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), and as a Finance Director in quoted and private equity backed businesses including Jessops plc, RAC, Welcome Break and most recently ten years as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for David Lloyd Leisure.
