6AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA Press Release New Civil Air Terminal Building at Bikaner Airport dedicated to the nation by Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan in the august presence of Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, HMCA. New Delhi, 3th July, 2014 A new Civil Air Terminal at Bikaner Airport, built by Airports Authority of India has been dedicated to the Nation on 29th June, 2014 by Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan in the august presence of Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Nihal Chand, Shri G.M. Siddeshwara, Hon’ble Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Shri Nihal Chand, Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Vishwa Nath Meghwal, Member of Legislative Assembly and other dignitaries. At the outset, function commenced by Shri Alok Sinha, IAS, Jt. Secretary, MoCA & Chairman, Airports Authority of India welcoming the dignitaries on the dias with bouquet of flowers. The New Civil Air Terminal at Bikaner airport is capable of handling 100 passengers during the peak hour. The terminal building has a total built-up area of 900 sqm and is equipped with the facilities such as check-in counters, VIP Lounge, Car Parking etc. On the air side of the airport, Apron and associated taxi track have been constructed linking to the IAF runway at Bikaner Airport. Apron is capable of parking two ATR type of aircraft. Civil Air Terminal has been built at a cost of Rs. 15cr by Airports Authority of India.
