Response by Acting Director, Planning & Development Council has previously requested a report on a policy or Scheme amendment addressing this matter. This is being progressed by the Administration, and it is expected that a report will be presented to Council in about March 2002. A draft policy or Scheme amendment would be advertised for public comment prior to final adoption. Question 1 (a) Will our Council work towards proclaiming our areas a nuclear-free zone, or can it be put to the public? Response by Acting Director, Planning & Development See response to question 1. Question 2 - Plaque to Merv Day As a goodwill gesture, would our Councillors reconsider the item of the Plaque to Merv Day (Dec)?
