The group regularly toured Britain, Europe and the United States from 1970 to 1975, and were among the top-grossing live acts in that period. The Faces were a force to be reckoned with. Their front man; who was also enjoying success as a solo artist, had proved himself to be as flamboyant and outrageous as any of his peers. Rod Stewart had seen his fair share of success around the world but was very aware of the changes and challenges that lay ahead. He was not the only one trying to stay ahead of the game. A close friend of his was facing a tough challenge in her career. She had been influential to Rod with the music she and her husband had created throughout the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. When she was finally able to break away from her abusive husband she was left with nothing but her name and the determination to re build her career on her terms.
