27 28 “Dickon Independent” is the quarterly magazine of the Worcestershire Branch of the Richard III Society.

It was started in October 1991 by Judith Chamberlayne, ably assisted by her son Marcus as joint editor.

Pam Benstead took over as editor in April 1994 with issue 11.

“Dickon Independent” is published in April to coincide with the branch AGM; in July to celebrate the anniversary of Richard and Compiled by Pam Benstead, Editor Anne’s coronation on the 6th; in October to commemorate Richard’s birthday on the 2nd; and in December to coincide with October 2012 the branch’s Christmas social.

It contains articles, cartoons, book reviews, crosswords, reports of branch meetings etc. on all aspects of Richard III’s life and times, and sometimes on other historical subjects as well.

All contributions are welcome from members of the branch and society in general in any format.
