NEW PAID LIFEBRIDGE INTERNSHIP

VSP launched Work-Based Learning Experience (WBLE), a new summer 6-week paid internship at Sinai, Northwest, and Carroll hospitals, targeting non-exiting high school students, age 16 and older. Through intensive marketing efforts at local schools and DORS offices, a total of 38 students entered internships this summer. With funds available to serve students earlier in high school, youth can explore interests and develop job skills in a healthcare environment, with connections made for further career exploration, paid internships and better preparation upon high school exit.

ED leadership has provided trainees and VSP staff with necessary feedback and has offered 5 graduates employment opportunity in the ED like Ricardo and Alexandrya.
