Around 70 senior scientists in the extended Mediterranean region will participate in the workshop that will be held from 28 October to 31 October 2013 at the “Reserva del Higuerón” Hotel in Malaga, Spain. UNESCO and the USGS have been working with the Council of Europe, government agencies, and other organizations on a program for Reducing Earthquake Losses in the Extended Mediterranean Region (RELEMR). Thirty RELEMR meetings have been held since the first meeting in Cairo in 1993 and during the last seven years workshops have been hosted by the Jordan Natural Resources Authority and Royal Scientific Society, the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute and the Middle East Technical University in Turkey, the Cyprus Geological Survey Department, the lnstitute of Earth Sciences 'Jaume Almera' in Spain, and the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, Greece. Datos para un estudio territorial del régimen señorial español La interpretación global del proceso histórico ha descubierto la existencia de amplias etapas en el devenir de la Historia denomina- das «estructuras», dotadas de similitudes básicas internas que difie- ren de otras anteriores o posteriores. La estructura llamada feudal, que caracteriza la Edad Media, no se limitaría a ser cofiguración so- cio-económica básica de la época medieval, sino que se prolongaría, a través del llamado Feudalismo Tardío, hasta fines del Antiguo Ré- gimen. En este sentido, tanto la Edad Media como la Moderna per- tenecerían a una misma configuración estructural de la sociedad. Esta valoración coincide perfectamente con la génesis y desarrollo del ré- gimen señorial español, fenómeno que hunde sus raíces en la Edad Media, para seguir ampliándose hasta fines del Antiguo Régimen. Las Noticias individuales de los pueblos que componen los Reinos, Provincias y Partidos de esta Península de España..., manuscrito compuesto en 1752 por orden de don Martín de Loynaz, Director Ge- neral de la Renta del Tabaco, es una fuente de excepcional interés para el conocimiento y estudio del régimen señorial español, ya que al pormenorizar los pueblos que componían los distintos territorios peninsulares de la Corona de España, expresan el nombre exacto de las personas o instituciones que detentaban su señorío.
