Truro also provides excellent state and private schooling.

To the south of Chacewater lies the picturesque port and town of Falmouth with its large estuary waters (the Carrick Roads) providing some of the best and safest day sailing waters in the country, whilst the myriad of creeks between Falmouth and Truro provide excellent sailing waters and picturesque creek and riverside walks. The unspoilt countryside around Killifreth House also provides footpaths through attractive countryside much of which is still under the ownership of Lord Falmouth.
