Stepping Out In Stockton Health Walks September and October 2015 Away Days Coaches leave Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre on both trips Kirby Stephen Friday 18 September 2015, leaving at 9.30am and arriving back at approx. 4.00pm. A 3.25 mile walk beside the River Eden towards Nateby and returning on the dis-used South Durham and Lancashire Union Railway via Hartley. Bookings for this walk will be taken from Tuesday 1 September 2015 for The Friends of Stockton Health Walks members and Thursday 3 September 2015 for non-members. Fountains Abbey to Ripon Friday 16 October 2015 leaving at 9.30am and arriving back at approx. 3.45pm. A 3.75 mile walk which passes through Studley Royal Park, where we should see herds of deer, then through the woods beside the River Skell to Ripon. Please note this walk may be muddy in parts. Bookings for this walk will be taken from Tuesday 29 September for Friends of Stockton Health Walks members and Thursday 1 October for non-members. Wynyard Woodland Park circular Meeting point: 10.00am Entrance to Billingham Forum or 10.20 car park off A689. Eaglescliffe Monday 1.00pm 7, 14, 21, 28 September and 5, 12, 19, 26 October 2015. Meeting point: Outside Eaglescliffe Medical Centre. These walks are approx 60 - 75mins duration. Ingleby Barwick Tuesdays 10.00am 1, 8, 15, 22, 27 September and 6, 13, 20, 27 October 2015. Meeting point: Ingleby Barwick Community Hall, Haresfield Way. Mainly on good paths but some walks unsuitable for buggies and wheelchairs. These walks are approx 60 - 90 mins duration. Norton Wednesdays 1.30pm – 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 September and 7, 14, 21, 28 October 2015. Meeting point: Outside Norton Medical Centre. These walks are approx 60 mins duration. Newtown Resource Centre, Durham Road Thursdays 10am – 3, 10, 17, 24 September and 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 October 2015. Meeting point: Reception area. These walks are approx 60 mins duration. Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre, St John’s Way Fridays 10am – 4, 11, 25 September and 2, 9, 23, 30 October 2015. Meeting point: Reception area. These walks are approx 60 mins duration with a 30 mins option also available. Tees Barrage (New walk) Wednesdays 9.30am 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 September and 7, 14, 21, 28 October 2015. Meeting point: Outside River View cafe at the barrage car park. Mainly on good paths suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. These walks are approx 60 mins duration. Fortnightly Walks Out and about with Roger Monday 10am – 7 September 2015. A circular walk round Thorpe Thewles. Stillington/Whitton. Meeting point: The Hamilton Russell car park Thorpe Thewles. Monday 10am – 21 September 2015. A circular walk from Picton to Kirklevington. Meeting point: The Station Hotel in Picton beside the level crossing. Monday 10am- 5 October 2015. A beach walk from Redcar Stray to Saltburn. Meeting point: Roadside parking near The Stray Café east of Redcar. For the return journey will need your bus pass. Monday 10am – 19 October 2015. A return circular walk round Ingleby Greenhow past Bank Foot. Meeting point: The large car park in the centre of Ingleby Greenhow opposite the Dudley Arms pub. Unfortunately these walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. You only need to commit to what is convenient for you whether you would like to lead a walk every week or simply provide cover when needed.
