IST is a fully authorized IB World School, offering the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes, and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). The International School of Turin (IST) is a non-proft and private coeducational, English- medium school offering programmes from the Early Years to Grade 12. The school was established in 1963 by a group of parents 43 and members of the foreign community residing in Turin. Their aim was to provide an international education for their children. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS HOW TO INTERPRET IB GRADES AND TRANSCRIPTS The minimum graduation requirements consist of 27 high school A student’s examination performance in individual subjects is scored credits accumulated over eight semesters of study during Grades on a scale of 1-7 points with a further 3 points available based on 9-12. The minimum credit requirement for an IST High School a matrix of performance in the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the Diploma are: English (4); Foreign Language (4); Mathematics (4); Extended Essay components. Students who display satisfactory Science (3); Humaties (3); Art/Music (1); Physical Education (1); levels of performance across all subject areas and achieve a minimum Theory of Knowledge (1); CAS (1); Electives (5). A minimum grade of 24 points (out of a possible 45) are awarded the IB Diploma. All of 3 (on a 7 point scale) is required to receive credit for a course. others receive a Statement of Results for the subjects examined. Grade Point Averages (GPAs) are not calculated at IST. Affiliations IST is also a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and the Association of IB World Schools in (AIBWSI). IST has also been recognized by the international Foundation for Environmental Education as an offcial 100 Eco-School.
