He hoisted the national flag in the college at 8.30 am. All the students and the teachers saluted the flag and then sang the national anthem patriotic songs were recited by the students. Sadbhavana Diwas. In this regard A pledg S.S.Kallur e taking ceremony was conducted on 20/08/2014 the Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan Oriented the students and staff regarding the importance of Sadbhavana Diwas by highlighting it is to avoid violence and to promote good will among people. The pledge was led by Dr.B.R.Patil to students and staff. Smt Shailaja Huddar extended welcome, final year student Rajeshwari Patil proposed vote of thanks. Gandhi Jayanti Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahaddur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated on 2nd October 2014.. Shri. Girish P. Desur,Asst.Professor of Kannada spoke about Mahatma Ganghiji. Prof. B.S. Shiriyappagoudar, Asst.Professor of history discussed about Lal Bahaddur Shastri contribution to the nation.Dr. F.B.Pathan Presided the function and delivered presidential remarks. welcomed all staff and students and Prof. Preeti Patil has given the vote of thanks. Karnataka Rajyotsava We have celebrated the Karnataka Rajyotsava On 1st November 2014. All staff and students were attended the function. Dr. Girish P. Desur spoke the history of Karnataka formation movement and he also explained the richness of kannada language .Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan presided the program. Prof. Bharati Dandin extended warm welcome to all. Prof. S.D. Dange proposed vote of thanks. National Youth Day In 1984 the govt. of India declared 12th January as the National Youth Day. on the occasion of 153rd birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda, on 12th Jan 2015 in our college union organized National Youth Day. The Faculty and the students present in the celebration Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan enlightened the life and contribution of Swamy Vivekananda. Shri.B.S.Shiriyappagoudar extended the welcome to gathering. Dr.Girish P. Desur proposed vote of thanks On 30 january Martyr’s day is celebrated in the memory of mahatma gandhi and also to pay homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of india. Republic Day Celebration National Republic Day was celebrated in the college on 26/01/2015 Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan hoisted the National flag at 8.30am. All the staff and students were present on this occasion. Shri. B.S.Shiriyappagoudar spoke on the Republic day Importance. Shri. S.D.Dange proposed vote of Thanks. Martyr’s Day It is reported on 30th January 2015 we have celebrated Martyr’s Day. in the college and was attended by all staff and students. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated on 14th February 2015 principal Dr. F.B.Pathan spoke on life and contributions of Dr. B R. Ambedkar. Dr. Jayananda Hatti extended well come to all the staff members and students. Dr. G P. Desur proposed vote of thanks. Annual report of the celebrations and commemorative events for the year 2015-16 Library day Every year we celebrate Library day on 12th of august in remembrance of national professor of library Science Dr. S.R.Ranganathan who had spearheded library development in India. The program commenced with well come speech of smt Bharati Dandin Librarian GFGC Kalaghatagi. On 12/08/2015 Principal Dr.F.B.Pathan Inaugurated the Library day and spoke about the Importance of libraries. the programme took place in the presence of all the staff members and students. National sports day To celebrated the birth anniversary of Major Dyanchandh, National sports day was celebrated in our college. A special assembly was conducted. Principal and physical education director prof.S.D.Dange enlighten the significance of this day to the students and staff, Dr. J.V.Hatti proposed vote of thanks. Gandhi Jayanti To commemorate the birth Anniversary of the father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi, our college has celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2015. Principal Shri.G.C.Gumgolmath spoke about life and contributions of Mahatma Gadhiji. He also said cleanliness is next to godliness and service to mankind is the first step towards reaching it. Shri S.D.Dange proposed vote of thanks. Martyrs’ day We at GFGC Kalaghatagi imbibe great values in our students so that they become responsible citizens of this country. Keeping this in mind peace day/martyrs’ day was celebrated on Jan 30 2016 to pay home to the victims who fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of the nation and sacrificed their lives. Principal Shri. G.C.Gumgolmath in his speech highlighted the true essence of peace and harmony, peace is within our selves, and we must bring it out by living in peace in society. All the students and staff were participated in the celebration Dr. F.B.Pathan proposed welcome Speech, and Dr.J.V.Hatti proposed vote of thanks General Secretary of the college hosted program. The National science day The National science day celebration was conducted successfully on 28-02-2016. This day is celebrated to remember the grate invention by the Indian physicist Chandrashekhar Venkata Raman who discovered Raman Effect. Students and faculty held special assembly to mark this occasion. Principal spoke on science and technology for sustainable future. Smt. preeti Patil extended a warm welcome to all the staff and students and Smt. Sujata S.Tallur proposed vote of thanks. International women’s day: The women’s forum of Govt First Grade college Kalaghatagi has organized a special programme to commemorate the 21st International women’s day on 8th march 2016 Principal Shri G.C.Gumgolmath was the president of the program Smt.Bramarabha Tahashildhar Kalaghatagi was a chief guest, in her message she said the women is a life giver to the hole human race and it is duty of every one to give her respectable life in the society. Smt. Bharati Dandin hosted the programme. Dr.Smt B.R.Patil extended the warm welcome and smt. Shailaja Huddar Proposed vote of thanks. Ambedkar Jayanti. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated on 14th February 2016 principal G C. Gumgolmath spoke on life and contributions of Dr. B R. Ambedkar. Annual report of the celebrations and commemorative events for the year 2016-17 Independence Day The Independence Day was celebrated in the GFG college kalaghatagi by the faculty members and students on 15-08-2016. The program bagan with flag hoisting by our Principal. Students and staff sung the national anthem. Dr. Girish Desur, Asst. Professor, dept. of kannada spoke about Indian freedom movement. He also said about the national freedom fighters’s sacrifice and dedication towards the nation. Our principal Prof G.C. Gumgolmath delivered a valuable speech on importance of Independence day. Prof.S D.Dange has welcomed all staff and students..The program ended with Vote of thanks given by Prof . B.R. Patil. Gandhi Jayanti Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahaddur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated on 2nd October 2016.On this occasion in association with the Nehru yuva Kendra, kalaghatagi we have conducted essay competition on both the great personalities for students . Dr. F. B. Pathan ,Asst.Professor of English spoke about Mahatma Ganghiji. Prof. B.S. Shiriyappagoudar, Asst.Professor of history discussed about Lal Bahaddur Shastri contribution to the nation.
