He hoisted the national flag in the college at 8.30 am. All the students and the teachers saluted the flag and then sang the national anthem patriotic songs were recited by the students. Sadbhavana Diwas. In this regard A pledg S.S.Kallur e taking ceremony was conducted on 20/08/2014 the Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan Oriented the students and staff regarding the importance of Sadbhavana Diwas by highlighting it is to avoid violence and to promote good will among people. The pledge was led by Dr.B.R.Patil to students and staff. Smt Shailaja Huddar extended welcome, final year student Rajeshwari Patil proposed vote of thanks. Gandhi Jayanti Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahaddur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated on 2nd October 2014.. Shri. Girish P. Desur,Asst.Professor of Kannada spoke about Mahatma Ganghiji. Prof. B.S. Karnataka Rajyotsava We have celebrated the Karnataka Rajyotsava On 1st November 2014. All staff and students were attended the function. Dr. Girish P. National Youth Day In 1984 the govt. of India declared 12th January as the National Youth Day. on the occasion of 153rd birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda, on 12th Jan 2015 in our college union organized National Youth Day. The Faculty and the students present in the celebration Principal Dr. F.B.Pathan enlightened the life and contribution of Swamy Vivekananda. Gandhi Jayanti To commemorate the birth Anniversary of the father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi, our college has celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2015. Principal Shri.G.C.Gumgolmath spoke about life and contributions of Mahatma Gadhiji. He also said cleanliness is next to godliness and service to mankind is the first step towards reaching it. Principal Shri. G.C.Gumgolmath in his speech highlighted the true essence of peace and harmony, peace is within our selves, and we must bring it out by living in peace in society. The National science day The National science day celebration was conducted successfully on 28-02-2016. This day is celebrated to remember the grate invention by the Indian physicist Chandrashekhar Venkata Raman who discovered Raman Effect. International women’s day: The women’s forum of Govt First Grade college Kalaghatagi has organized a special programme to commemorate the 21st International women’s day on 8th march 2016 Principal Shri G.C.Gumgolmath was the president of the program Smt.Bramarabha Tahashildhar Kalaghatagi was a chief guest, in her message she said the women is a life giver to the hole human race and it is duty of every one to give her respectable life in the society. He also said about the national freedom fighters’s sacrifice and dedication towards the nation. Our principal Prof G.C. Gumgolmath delivered a valuable speech on importance of Independence day.
