Contact information: Housing Center – Piazza Sraffa, 13 Università Bocconi’s One Stop Service Center email: [email protected] Tel: (+39) 02-5836-2795 / (+39) 02-5836-2152 Art. 1.1 Bocconi Residences For the 2013-2014 academic year Università Bocconi offers 5 Residences to its students, for a total number of 1.378 room assignments, both full rate and reduced rate (fee determined according to the economic condition of the student's family). Assignments are distributed amongst the 5 Bocconi Residences as follows: RESIDENCE NUMBER OF PLACEMENTS 261 BOCCONI - 13 single rooms with private bathrooms; Via Bocconi, 12 – Milan - 248 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student. 96 JAVOTTE - 8 single rooms with private bathrooms; Via Giovenale, 4 - Milan - 88 single rooms with bathrooms to be shared with one other student. 362 - 350 single rooms with private bathrooms or ARCOBALENO with bathrooms to be shared with one other Via F.lli Fraschini, 3 - Milan student (partly assigned to international exchange students ); - 12 studios. 326 - 176 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments; DUBINI - 140 single rooms in 2-bedroom apartments; Via Vittore Buzzi, 7 - Milan - 10 studios, studio apartments are handicap- accessible. 333 SPADOLINI - 317 single rooms in 4-bedroom apartments; Via G. Spadolini, 12/A - Milan - 16 studios, studio apartments are handicap- accessible. Students who wish to apply for Bocconi Housing may only submit one application; either for full rate or reduced rate housing. The application process, rankings and renewal requirements for subsequent academic years will vary depending on the type of housing, as specified by these Housing Application Requirements and Regulations. Students assigned full rate housing for the AY 2013-2014 will not be able to apply for or be assigned reduced rate housing if they are previously or subsequently assigned an ISU bracket for the AY 2013- 2014. 3 Art. 1.2 Housing Assignment Process The housing assignment process is structured in four steps: Students may only submit one application; for either full rate or reduced rate housing. 1st STEP Applications must be submitted online and, if Submit Online Application applying for reduced rate housing, must be www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk subsequently completed with all required documentation. Rankings are created to determine the order of priority with which available rooms will be assigned. Being ranked does not automatically imply that you will be assigned housing. The final 2nd STEP housing assignment depends on many variables Rankings (type of housing requested, availability and the applicant's gender). The ranking order is only a partial indicator of the probability of being assigned housing. 3rd STEP Housing assignments will take place in different Housing Assignments rounds, as rooms may become available at different times. Housing assignments must be accepted according to the time frame and procedures indicated in the e-mail sent to the student communicating the housing assignment. Failure to follow the acceptance procedures will result in the 4th STEP cancellation of the assignment and the re- Housing Assignment Acceptance assignment of the room to another eligible ranked student. It is important that applicants check the e-mail account provided when filling out the online application according to the time frame indicated in the Housing Application Requirements and Regulations. Università Bocconi reserves the right to transfer residents to a different Residence at any time throughout the academic year. Please note that it will not be possible for a student to request a room assignment change at any time. Exceptional cases due to serious and certified problems will be evaluated based on the following conditions: - a room change can occur only once during a student’s university career; - any changes made will occur only at the end of the academic year; - should a change in a resident’s housing assignment be allowed, students will not be able to choose their new assignment, as it is an unchangeable and random allocation to be made by the IT system. Art. 1.3 Types of Housing Applications Students may only submit one application; for either full rate or reduced rate housing. The decision to apply for either full rate or reduced rate housing is up to the student. See Attachment I for detailed information regarding the minimum criteria for eligibility for reduced rate housing. 4 TYPE OF ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS DOCUMENTATION APPLICATION Students whose family’s income and assets are within the ISU Bocconi Documentation of Requirements: economical character Reduced rate - ISEE/ISEEU € 20.124,71 required - ISPE/ISPEU € 33.960,46 And who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in Art. 3.1 Students whose family’s income and Documentation of Full rate assets exceed the ISU requirements economical character (Art. 3.1 and 3.2) not required The following norms will be applied to those students assigned reduced rate rooms, but are later assigned the 4th ISU bracket subsequent to the verification of incomplete, irregular or the submission of documents which do not confirm with the data indicated online by the applicant: - the students will lose eligibility for housing for the current academic year and for the duration of his/her program, if there is demand for housing by eligible students; - in any event, the student will not be allowed to renew his/her housing assignment for the subsequent academic year; - the student will be responsible for the payment of the equivalent of twice the amount due for the assignment made undeservedly from the time of the assignment until the moment in which the housing fee assigned to the student was disputed; - the submission of irregular documentation of economical character may be brought to the attention of the Disciplinary Committee for the possible application of further sanctions.
