Book Page Art Designed for Program Planning Guide tweens, teens, & adults Transform an old book into a work of art. Follow a pattern or design your own folded book art design. Using a simple folding technique, measuring lengths and angles, participants will create images and patterns in the pages of books. Included in Kit Time Sample Program Outline Folded Book Art by Clare Youngs Planning/prep: 1 hour Introductions The Repurposed Library by Lisa Occhipinti • Look through pattern resources Staff member explains process: Book Folding Pattern CD Rom: Volume • View video tutorials online • Create design on long edge of book pages 5 by Debbi Moore Designs Program: 1-3 hours (adapt for books of different lengths) Measure Mark Fold & Measure Clean up: 30 minutes • Determine length of each fold Mark Cut Fold pattern binder and mark back edge Bone folders (12) » Precise folds and matching fold Rulers (16) angles make the designs sharper Craft knives (8) • Overly complex designs can be frustrating for beginners Not Included Participants select book and pre-made Pencils pattern, or design their own Hardcover books to upcycle Measure and mark all pages Fold!
