HARVEST FESTIVAL. The flowers will be arranged in the church on the morning of Saturday 5th October. Please give any financial contributions for the Flower Fund to Brenda. The Festival Service is at 11am followed by lunch at 12.30pm. Please give numbers who would like to have lunch by 22ndSept for catering purposes. Also , we need offers of making a Cottage/Shepherd’s Pie for 8 and a fruit crumble. Please let Brenda know. Tickets adults £8 children £5.50. Bring your own drink and glasses. Harvest produce will be given to FoodBank and to Reigate & Banstead Women’s Refuge. The latter would welcome Pasta sauces, cartons of milk, tins of veg, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, pasta, fresh fruit and vegetables.

THE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR 9thNovember will be opened by Lesley McCabe, BBC RADIO Presenter.

TEAM NEWS: Revd Vince Short our Team Vicar will be on a sabbatical for three months from September to November inclusive. We look forward to welcoming him back in Advent.

TEAM NEWS: Sarah Paxton who is training to be a Reader starts a 2 month placement at Edenbridge Parish Church, serving, preaching, leading a family service and home & hospital visiting, attending three services on a Sunday. Sarah says that she would really value our prayers on her behalf.

CTOD The next Bereavement Group Date will be 25th September. Bereaved people are welcome to drop in, on their own or with a friend, anytime between 1pm and 3pm at the URC . Trained volunteers on hand for support.

CTOD SINGERS. Bringing people together in Fellowship, Friendship, Fun…and Harmony. The next meetings are Thursday 26thSeptember and 24thOctober at All Saints Parish Room 12 Chichele Road, Oxted.

Below are details concerning CTOD’s Charity of the year: ‘THEIR VOICE’ A local charity that supports victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. ‘Empowering survivors of modern slavery’. A fundraising event with Tea, Raffle & Quiz. The aim to raise funds to provide 200 rucksacks, toiletries etc. helping children to recover from traumatic experiences. Sat 21stSept 10am to 4pm HERITAGE OPEN DAY at THE COLLEGE OF ST. BARNABUS, Lingfield, a community of retired Anglicans. Come and look inside one of Surrey’s hidden, charming, historic places. Has beautiful Arts & Crafts features. Take a guided tour and ride the miniature steam railway! Next door to Dormans Railway station. (The first time the College has held such an event)

Sun 29th Sept EVENSONG at Lingfield Parish Church. A beautiful traditional service. All are welcome.

13thOct ‘MOUNTAIN MUSIC’ a Farnham Maltings production in Bletchingly. A great opportunity to see professional theatre in your area for £10 per ticket! Any profits to the Bletchingly Church House Charity.

It has been announced that Revd James Ashton presently Vicar in the Team Ministry and Deanery Mission Enabler has been appointed Team Vicar of Oxted St. Mary & St. Peter.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH 3.30pm in St. Andrew’s Hall. This takes place during Term Time and not in the holidays. The next dates are Monday 30th Sept, 21st Oct, 25th Nov.

First Friday of the month. ART ON THE CHART. A friendly group of all abilities meeting in the Hall to paint and draw from 2.30 to 4pm.
