The format is Captain and Crew. This tournament supports the Post's scholarship foundation. $1,000 scholarships are given to deserving students in the Back Mountain area. The family business began across from the Dallas Shopping Center when Bill Spurlin opened the Dallas Exxon Station. There, the family duo served the community until 1993. Later that year, the business relocated to North Main Street in Shavertown and continues to serve the community today as Back Mountain Auto Specialists. Dave’s passion for the auto service business began more than 25 years ago, and in 1986 he finished his professional training at West Side Vocational Technical School.
