Appoints Irish Apparel Specialists, Premium Golf Brands, as Global Licensee Submitted by: Medi8 Monday, 16 March 2009 Premium Golf Brands to Develop Calvin Klein Golf Apparel and Accessories Range New York, USA & Cork, Ireland: Calvin Klein, Inc. (CKI) and Premium Golf Brands (PGB) today announced an agreement that appoints PGB as the official global licensee of Calvin Klein Golf. Appropriately for the Cork based company, the announcement was made just in time for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the presence of An Taoiseach Brian Cowen. The agreement was announced following a breakfast in New York City honouring Ireland’s Prime Minister, Brian Cowen who is leading a trade mission to the U.S. The event was hosted by Enterprise Ireland, the Government Agency responsible for driving leadership and growth for innovative Irish companies in international markets. The exclusive multi year licensing agreement allows PGB to source, manufacture, and distribute Calvin Klein Golf apparel for men and women. The license also includes the right to introduce other Calvin Klein Golf accessories on a global basis. The men’s and women’s Calvin Klein Golf Spring 2009 range is available at retail now from leading golf specialty stores and resorts in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Finland, Turkey, and Sweden. A full European roll out of the brand is expected by the end of the next quarter, and it is planned that by Spring 2010, that the global distribution of Calvin Klein Golf will expand to reach the Middle East (Dubai), the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Premium Golf Brands, Europe’s largest golf apparel distributor, was the European distributor for the predecessor license since the Calvin Klein Golf brand was launched in early 2008. -

Thank you. Abstract Since 2010, androgyny has entered the mainstream to become one of the most widespread trends in Western fashion. Contemporary androgynous fashion is generally regarded as giving a new positive visibility to alternative identities, and signalling their wider acceptance. But what is its significance for our understanding of gender relations and living configurations of gender and sexuality? And how does it affect ordinary people's relationship with style in everyday life? Combining feminist theory and an aesthetics that contrasts Kantian notions of beauty to bridge matters of ideology and affect, my research investigates the sociological implications of this phenomenon. -

Color is a critical cue for sexual combinations (lips and colored finger nails) [8]. Such use allowed signaling, but what the preferred colors actually are in humans, is females to express themselves more fully [8]. -

May 15, 2001 What substance, worth its weight in gold (and then some), was the singular basis upon which were countless wars fought, economies catapulted and lives lost? No, the answer isn't cocaine, but an entirely different cash crop—murex purple. Used to dye the clothing of the royal and religious, murex purple has a special place in the history of dress. Sources of Purple Dye In order to understand why a particular color of clothing would have conveyed such prestige it is necessary to learn a little bit about the history of this particular dye. At one time, dyes, such as purple, scarlet, yellow and indigo were made from natural plant, animal and mineral products. The products were often dried, pulverized and then mixed with liquids in order to form dyes for clothing and other textiles. (Today, many dyes for clothing are made synthetically in laboratories, through chemical processes involving products such as aniline.) The purple dye used in ancient religious and royal robes most likely came from one of several types of shellfish: a) Murex brandaris, b) Murex trunculus, c) Helix ianthina, d) Purpura lapillus, or perhaps e) Purpura haemastoma. One legend suggests that the dye was discovered by Helen of Troy, who when strolling along the beach to pass the time while in captivity, noticed that her dog had chewed into a large shellfish and its mouth had become purple as a result (Jensen 1963: 106). The two chief sources for this purple dye are Murex trunculus and Murex brandaris, and the shades of dye produced these sources can range from bright red, to blue, and to deep, almost black, purple. -

Based on the conducted research, the influence of colors on child is determined and the recommendations on the choice of colors that have a positive effect on child`s psychological state are provided. Key words: range of colors, design, children`s clothing, psychology of perception. INTRODUCTION Since ancient times, color was a strong, but at the same time imperceptible force that determined the human behavior. Scientist from different fields of science called color in different ways, highlighting the psychological and physiological components of the color influence. Such components are related to emotions, mood, and feelings of a person. In an early childhood, a person begins to understand the meaning of color in clothing. The importance of the influence of color of clothing on human psychology is hard to overestimate, and if a child can only instinctively express his/her pleasure (or dissatisfaction) with a certain shade, then adults consciously notice the influence of color on energy and emotional potential, mood and even health. An important conclusion, to which the psychologists have come a long time ago, is that color, chosen by person in his/her clothing, reflects the psychological essence of the personality, his/her mood and defines (or explains) the motives of his/her behavior. PROBLEM DEFINITION The aim of the research is to study the influence of the range of colors in clothing for child, to analyze colors and their perception by child from the psychological point of view. -
