All games will be governed by Hockey Manitoba regulations. 2. Games consist of 3‐15 minute stop time periods. Any games with a goal differential of 5 goals or more in the 3rd period, will be played as straight time. Games return to stop time if differential less than 5 goals. Ice will be resurfaced after every 2 periods. 3. All calls and decisions made by the officials on the ice are final. There will be zero tolerance for abuse and/or intimidation towards the officials. Please set a positive example! 4. In the event of a tie at the end of regulation in the round robin each team will select 3 different shooters for a shootout. Winner decided after 3 rounds. If still tied we will continue one shooter per round. Each player may only shoot once, until all skaters have shot. Home team will shoot first. Shootout winner receives only one more goal (ie. if tied 4‐4, final score will be 5‐4 regardless of how many goals were scored in shootout). 5. In the event that the tournament time schedule cannot be met, the tournament committee will have the authority to make adjustments as deemed necessary. 6. Coaches ‐ it is your responsibility to ensure your team is ready 10 min. before your scheduled start. 7. Participating teams are designated as HOME and AWAY. 8. Points will be earned as follows: 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for shootout win, 1 point for shootout loss, 0 points for regulation loss. 9. In the event of a tie in points at the end of round robin play between two or more teams, Hockey Manitoba tiebreakers will be applied to determine final round robin standings. Refer to pages 79 & 80 in 2017‐18 Hockey Manitoba Handbook. 10. In the finals if a game ends tied, the two teams will play 5 minutes of 3 on 3 sudden victory hockey. If one team is shorthanded, game will be played 4 on 3 (or 5 on 3) until the next stoppage where action would return to 3 on 3. If still tied, the teams proceed to shootout, using round robin rules.
