Sussex local DAB re-tune and coverage extension – 9th December 2015 Please be advised, there will be a DAB frequency change and new transmitters launched in the Sussex area. This will require you to re-tune your DAB radio to continue to listen to your local DAB radio stations. Please note, these changes will only affect the following DAB radio stations in the Sussex area; BBC Sussex Heart Sussex Smooth Sussex Capital Gold Gaydio Smile Sussex Kisstory Heat These changes are being made to allow an addition of three new transmitters at Truleigh Hill, Heathfield, and Crawley (Little Prestwood Farm) which will improve coverage in the county. This improved coverage will allow a further 152,000 homes to receive their local DAB stations. Please note; there will be another two transmitters coming on-line in late January 2016, these will be in the Midhurst and Rye area adding a further 20,000 households. In August 2016 will also see another new transmitter at Horsham adding a further 23,000 households into DAB coverage. When can I retune my radio? You can return your radio after 6am on Wednesday 9th December, DAB listeners may not be able to receive the local stations prior to this time. Which stations will be affected? The changes will only affect the local DAB radio station in the Sussex area. After 06:00 on Wednesday 9th December 2015, you will need to carry out an “Auto Tune” or on some models called “Scan”. How to perform this retuning process is covered in the radio user guide, or if misplaced, can be downloaded on the technical support website https://www.robertsradiotechnical.co.uk/ What about my TV, FM and MW receivers? These changes do NOT affect FM, MW, Online or digital television; this is a DAB frequency change only What about my other DAB receivers, (not made by Roberts)?
