48th Senior Nationals and Inter State Carrom Championship 2019-20 at Jalgaon, Maharashtra 2nd to 6th February 2020 PSPB defeated JISL by 3-0. Mohd. Ghufran (IOCL) and Srinivas K.(IOCL) defeated Pankaj Pawar and Yogesh Dhongade respectively in the singles tie Ramesh Babu (IOCL) & Yogesh Pardeshi (IOCL) defeated Anil Mundhe & Rahim Khan in the doubles tie. PSPB defeated JISL by 2-1. Kajal Kumari (IOCL) lost to Nilam Ghodke in the singles tie but Rashmi Kumari (ONGC) brought PSPB back in the game by defeating Ayesha Sajid. In the doubles tie Naga Jyothi (IOCL) & Parimala (IOCL) defeated Mitali & Farheen to seal the title. Women from left to right Sneha More, Rashmi Kumari, Parimala Devi, Naga Jyothi, Kajal Kumari, P Jayashree) 40th National Team Chess Championship 2020 & 18th National Team Chess Championship for Women 2020 at Ahmedabad from 7th to 13th February 2020 PSPB teams played exceedingly well to clinch both the Men and Women Championship convincingly in the 40th National Team Chess Championship 2020 & 18th National Team Chess Championship for Women 2020 held at Ahmedabad from 7th to 13th February 2020. A total of 17 grandmasters and 15 international masters took part in the Men’s Event. Despite having such strong opponents in AAI, Railways, Telengana, Air India and LIC, PSPB men won with a convincing marginwith a round to spare. B. Adhiban (IOCL), Murali Karthikeyan (IOCL) and Mr Lalit Babu (BPCL) bagged the Gold Medal in their respective boards.
