And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt. Ge nesis 41:14a Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: Isaiah 56:1 Thus said the LORD, Keep you judgment, and do justice: for my salvation (Yeshua) is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown. Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 1Co rinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Ge nesis 41:38,39 And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?" And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "For as much as God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are. Genesis 41:45a And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; Genesis 41:49,50 And Joseph gathered grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number. And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore unto him. Ge nesis 41:51-53 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. And the seven years of plenty, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended. Genesis 42:3-5 Joseph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt. But Jacob didn’t send Benjamin, Joseph’s brother, with his brothers; for he said, “Lest perhaps harm happen to him.” The sons of Israel came to buy among those who came, for the famine was in the land of Canaan. Notes: 2 Genesis 42:14-18 And Joseph said to them, That is it that I spoke to you, saying, You are spies: Hereby you shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh you shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come here. Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and you shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely you are spies. And he put them all together into ward three days. And Joseph said to them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God: Genesis 42:19-24 If you be true men, let one of your brothers be bound in the house of your prison: go you, carry corn for the famine of your houses: But bring your youngest brother to me; so shall your words be verified, and you shall not die. And they did so. And they said one to another, We are truly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he sought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come on us. And Reuben answered them, saying, Spoke I not to you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and you would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required. And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spoke to them by an interpreter. And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes. Romans 11:8 (According as it is written, God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) to this day. Simeon is held back whose name means to hear. Genesis 42:27,28 And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth. And he said to his brothers, My money is restored; and, see, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God has done to us? Genesis 42:37,38 And Reuben spoke to his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to you: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to you again. And he said, My son shall not go down with you; Genesis 43:8,9 And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones. I will be surety for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I bring him not to you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame for ever: Genesis 44:1,2 And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's mouth. And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken. Genesis 44:8-10 Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again to you out of the land of Notes: 3 Canaan: how then should we steal out of your lord's house silver or gold? With whomsoever of your servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's slaves. And he said, Now also let it be according to your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and you shall be blameless.
