5 Prof. Yusuf Obeidat Professor of Civil Law

I have joined Yarmouk University in Jordan as a doctor in Civil Law in 2004. From 2007- 28/1/2010 I was the Head of Private Law Department and Head of Commercial Law Department/ MA Programme, and Head of Higher Studies Committee. I worked at Sharjah University- UAE from 2010- 2015.

My academic legal education was at Yarmouk University (LLB 1995) and Jordan University (LLM 1997), and University of Leeds (MA 2001) and University of Leeds (PhD 2004).

I have published many articles in my discipline as showed in my CV, and I am the author of two books in Jordanian Law on sources of obligations published in 2009, 1st ed, 2011 2nd ed, 2016 3rd , and another book on Real Rights (1st ed, 2011, 2nd 2018). Furthermore I am the author of many books explaining the UAE Laws. In addition I have been invited to comment upon several publications of others, and dissertations as Member of PH.D and LLM viva committees at Jordanian Universities and UAE Universities.

I have supervised LLM students in the field of private law at Yarmouk University- Jordan, and at Sharjah University- UAE.

Teaching I have involved in teaching Introduction to Law; Sources of Obligation; Rules of Obligation; nominate contracts; Labor Law; Real Rights; evidence and execution law, private international law and Legal Studies in English to undergraduates. As for postgraduates I have involved in teaching International trade contract, Contractual Liability, Tort Law and Legal Studies in Foreign Language.
